College Basketball Picks November 30th
Liberty at Florida Atlantic (-8.5) (O/U 143.5)
Massive Mid-Major matchup down in Boca Raton. Hope you guys appreciated the alliteration out of the gates. Hosted by Florida Atlantic, The Field of 68 Classic tips off tonight. This event matches up three of the best Mid-Major programs out there as Liberty and Charleston join the Owls.
Dusty May has FAU in the top 15 again, following a Final Four Season
He was a manager at Indiana and didn’t play college basketball
Makes you question the philosophy that you had to be a great player to be a great coach 🤫

Now, let’s get into the matchup between Liberty and Florida Atlantic. Both of these teams made the NCAA Tournament last season and should do it again this year. Although Liberty and FAU can light up the scoreboard on any given night, they can also lock it down defensively. Add in both of these two coming off tough MTEs / non-conference games, and I think we see a slower-paced affair.
The total is on the higher end for a good reason, but I am going to look towards the under here. With multiple games this weekend, look for both coaches to use their bench and slow down the tempo here.
The Pick: Under 143.5 (-110)
New Orleans at Minnesota (-12.5) (O/U 148.5)
Minnesota is coming off an ugly loss to Mid-Major San Francisco a few days ago and heads home looking to rebound. New Orleans comes in from the Southland Conference with a 3-3 record. Sadly for them, only one of those wins came against a Division One team. Minnesota needs a confidence booster before they head into conference play next week. Although they may not play their guys for all 40 minutes, I think they have enough to win this game convincingly. Lay the points with The Gophers.
The Pick: Minnesota (-12.5)
