2023 Hero World Challenge: Best DFS Plays By Range

Short field, big names. The PGA Tour (unofficially) heads to the Bahamas for The Hero World Challenge. Although we regularly see this event, this is not an official PGA Tour Event. Every year, Tiger Woods hand-picks the biggest names to headline this event at Albany Golf Club. We will see Bermuda Greens, moderate conditions, and a ton of variance. Most of these guys have not played a ton, so they very well may be rusty.  Here are my 2023 Hero World Challenge DFS picks!

2023 Hero World Challenge: Best DFS Plays by Range

Upper Range

Collin Morikawa $10,000

We finally saw Collin break the win drought this fall with his win at the Zozo Championship. I like him in this upper range because he has played golf recently, and he tends to play well in bunches. Morikawa got all of his wins in a similar time frame, and I can see that continuing.

Fading the top is always scary, but Scottie Scheffler and Max Homa do not scare me at this point of the year, avoiding Vik’s success is going to be our only challenge. Run out Collin at the top of your 2023 Hero World Challenge DFS lineups.

Matt Fitzpatrick $9,200

Truly, I am shocked at this price point, but here we are. I am extremely high on Matt Fitzpatrick at this golf course. Chipping in tight lies will be extremely important here, and he has the ability to do that very well. He also spent a lot of time playing golf in Europe over the fall, so I doubt he is too rusty. Fitzy is a great second man into your 2023 Hero World Challenge DFS lineups.

Mid Range

Sam Burns $7,100

Don’t overthink it. You play Sam Burns on Bermuda. Burnsy nearly won this even in the past, and I think he could be live to do it again. He ran into a debacle on one of the holes where he was unable to chip the ball up a steep slope. The ball rolled down to his heels multiple times, and his chances were soiled. Expect Burns to learn from his mistake and roll plenty of 20-foot putts in.

Bottom Range

Keegan Bradley $6,800

Insert Ryder Cup Snub narrative for ole Keegz here. I mean 6K range, what are we doing? I understand this field is small, so the prices will be thinned out, but this is a blatant misprice on a golfer who won twice last season and was arguably one of the top 15 players in the world. Keegan has one Fall start under his belt already, and I would expect him to be locked in for this event. Click that name for your 2023 Hero World Challenge DFS Lineups.
