College Basketball Picks – November 27th
New Hampshire at Connecticut (-31.5) (O/U 147.5)
The defending national champions have won 23 straight non-conference games by double digits. Why would we take New Hampshire with the points? New Hampshire is off to a nice start of their own, but clearly not in UConn’s class. The Huskies have to travel to Lawrence, Kansas, to face the Jayhawks on Friday.
They take on UNC just a couple of days after that, then Gonzaga midway through December. UConn will win this game by double digits and extend their streak despite the look-ahead spot. Back the New Hampshire Wildcats to keep this game within the covering number.
The Pick: New Hampshire +31.5

Utah at St. Mary’s (-5.5) (O/U 133.5)
Both teams are looking to get positive momentum early in the season. The Gaels haven’t been the dominant force we have seen in the past and certainly not a team picked to upend Gonzaga for the conference. Weber State was able to upset St. Mary’s before the Gaels were run off the court by both San Diego State and Xavier. St. Mary’s bounced back to .500 with a good win against Davidson.
Utah has lost their last two after starting the season 3-0. The Utes have fallen to both Houston and St. John’s in their last two games due to their defensive pressures and inability to defend on the other side. St. Mary’s presents another challenge for Utah with their own defensive pressure and ability to get hot from deep.
Both teams continue to search for their identity. The key to this game will be the guard play from St. Mary’s. Aidan Mahaney has been better off the ball. Augustas Marciulionis bounced back into form against Davidson. Take the Gaels and their defense at Moraga. Expect to see neon green from the home crowd in this late one.
The Pick: St. Mary’s -5.5
