How did all of you degens survive without any NHL on Thanksgiving Day? Well, if you’re hanging on by a thread, then Friday’s 15-game slate should be the kick you need. With the 2023 season almost two months deep, our success rate is hovering right at 57%. And in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for all of our loyal readers, tailers, and profiteers. So shake off all of that tryptophan, and let’s cash a Black Friday banger. Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for November 24.
The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for November 24
Phillip Danault Higher Than 0.5 Points
The Los Angeles Kings centerman is starting to turn up the heat on the ice over his last three contests. Danault has now tallied four points in his last three games and has 12 points in the 2023 season. Friday, Danault and the Kings will be in Anaheim for a matinee meeting with the Ducks. The veteran center also tends to find the box score against Anaheim, with four points in seven meetings since 2021. Our first pick in Friday’s NHL Underdog entry is Phillip Danault Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Ducks.
Valeri Nichushkin Higher Than 0.5 Assists
In November, it has been hard to find an Avalanche forward that isn’t hotter than the surface of Venus. Russian winger Valeri Nichushkin is scorching, having put together a current five-game point streak. And in four of those five games, he has tallied multi-point games against stiff competition like the Canucks and Stars. Friday night, the Avs head to Minnesota to square off against the Wild in what should be a fun matchup.
Look for Nichushkin to be heavily involved in this one and log plenty of valuable time on ice. Let’s keep the point streak alive and take Valeri Nichushkin Higher Than 0.5 Assists with our second NHL Underdog entry.
Oliver Bjorkstrand Higher Than 0.5 Points
Our third NHL Underdog pick will come from the Black Friday nightcap between the Canucks and Kraken. Fool me once; shame on you. Fool me twice, and we will never use Oliver Bjorkstrand again. I believe that is how the saying goes. Only a few nights ago, we needed a Bjorkstrand point to complete a banger, but he let us down. But this time of year is about thankfulness and redemption, so let’s give Oliver one more chance.
Bjorkstrand has seven points in his last five games and put up a four-point night on Wednesday. With favorable conditions, let’s take Oliver Bjorkstrand Higher Than 0.5 Points and put some spending money in our pocket for Black Friday shopping.
