College Basketball Picks November 22nd
Ole Miss -1.5 at Temple (136.5)
Ole Miss is my “sneaky high major” team of the year, and I want to jump on them early before the Nation finds out. Under Chris Beard, this roster is LOADED with talent. They are yet to figure it out as a team, but I am buying as much stock as I can with them early in the season.
Temple is going to have a down year. They lost nearly all of their production from last year and no longer have that player to get a bucket when they need it. We will see a fairly large talent gap between these two teams. Buy the Rebels low while you can!
The Pick: Ole Miss -1.5
Texas Tech (129.5) vs. Villanova -2.5
The Battle 4 Atlantis is another great multiple-team event we see year in and year out, and this is a great matchup we have. Although neither of these teams are currently inside the top 25, there is a decent chance we see them there once the season comes to an end.
Villanova got off to a flaming start but fell to their rival Penn last week. They rebounded well in their next game out against Maryland as the Wildcats won in blowout fashion. Texas Tech sits at 3-0 after facing a few low-end mid-majors. Tech Faithful will be extremely hyped up for this one, as this is the first real test in the Grant McCasland era. Both of these teams have beefed up rosters, and I would expect them to push each other from the tip. Let’s play the over in this one.
