A cool 1-0 Thursday night as Boston College and Pittsburgh never threatened to go over the total. We get back to the dual slate tonight. A three-possession AAC spread and Coach Prime in Prime Time is what we have for Friday Night Football. Let’s take a look at our Friday picks.
Week 12 Friday Night Football Picks
South Florida (66.6) at UTSA -16
An ugly spread here in the dome. This matchup will square up two of the most electric group of five quarterbacks. Byrum Brown and Frank Harris can get it done on the ground and through the air.
Harris missed part of the season with an injury, and this team lost two games. The Roadrunners are night and day without him. Sitting at 6-0 in the conference, they are more than live to head to the conference title game.
South Florida continues to be a mess of a program, but this 5-5 record feels like a win. They have shown signs of explosiveness this year, and that is because of the man I mentioned above, Byrum Brown. He is an absolute electric factory and deserves to play on a better team. This USF bunch cannot stop anything, let alone one of the best offenses in the conferences. They do have the offensive capabilities to push UTSA, but keeping up with them will be an issue. Expect points, points, and points again.
The Pick: Over 66.5
Colorado (62.5) at Washington State -4
Talk about two teams that completely fell off a cliff. A combined 7-0 start for the two now shows 8-12. Washington State was a top 25 team with College Gameday on sight September. What happened after that week was a real shocker.
Colorado got off to that blazing start, cracked the top 25 as well, then had enough. Nonetheless, this season is a massive win for Coach Prime and Co. Four or five wins is more than expected, as they had a win total that closed at 3.5. Luckily enough, I placed a fairly large wager on under 5.5 around May. As I said, no one expected them to win this much, so this is a great season thus far.
Like the AAC game above, both of these teams possess game-changing QBs. Shedeur Sanders for the Buffs and Cam Ward for the Cougs. At this point in the season, these teams have nothing to lose and are going to play as loose and free as possible. This means a ton of shot plays and a lot of points. We’ll look at the total in this Friday Night Football contest as well.
The Pick: Over 62.5
