Here are my Week 11 fantasy football rankings. Included are my updated positional rankings, my top 150 flex rankings, and IDP.
Starts of The Week
QB, Brock Purdy – SF vs. TB (28th)
Tampa Bay has been on the other end of some monster fantasy quarterback performances this week. Purdy was being buried, and he came back from the bye week to remind people who he is. Getting Trent Williams and Deebo Samuel back helped a little bit, as well. Purdy is an every-week start moving forward. Don’t let that two-game slide scare you. He is in a fantasy-friendly offense and has shown to push the ball down the field, which adds some upside.
QB, Joshua Dobbs – MIN at DEN (25th)
Dobbs’ ability to pick up an offense and run with it goes back to his time in Tennessee. He was a sneaky fantasy option in Arizona, but he has taken off in Minnesota. Dobbs has three games in a row with over 24 points. He also has rushed for a touchdown in each game. The Vikings quarterback is an interesting trade target, with Justin Jefferson coming back soon. Crank up the Creed and get Dobbs into those lineups.
Honorable Mentions: Jared Goff, Jordan Love, and Matthew Stafford
RB, Ty Chandler – MIN at DEN (32nd)
Ty Chandler is a lesser-known talent, but he falls into a great scenario. Chandler has blazing speed and has great size to go with it. Alexander Mattison is likely to miss due to a concussion, and Cam Akers is out for the year. Chandler has been used recently, and his ability in the passing game is intriguing for fantasy managers. The matchup could not be more ideal. The Broncos are giving up the most fantasy points to running backs this year.
RB, Devin Singletary – HOU vs. AZ (30th)
Devin Singletary disappointed in his first week as the starter, but he exploded last week. The volume was insane. He played on 81% of snaps and had 31 touches. Devin turned that into 161 yards and a touchdown. It is rare to get a back with this type of volume, and on top of it, the matchup is great. Arizona is the third-best matchup for fantasy running backs, and Singletary was a top waiver wire pickup for a reason. Start him confidently this weekend!
Honorable Mentions: Darrel Henderson, Jaylen Warren, and Khalil Herbert (if he plays, if not you can go Foreman)
WR, Terry McLaurin – WAS vs. NYG (30th)
The New York Giants have given up on 2023 and have Caleb Williams in their sites. Their defense showed signs of life but trading Leonard Wiliams and Daniel Jones tearing his ACL has sucked the life out of it. This won’t be the same defense that terrorized Sam Howell a month ago. New York could also be without their top two corners due to injury. McLaurin gets a plus matchup and should get plenty of volume in his pass-happy offense.
WR, Tank Dell – HOU at AZ (16th)
Tank Dell is on a hot streak, and he is the only healthy Texans wide out right now. Noah Brown did not practice yet this week, and Nico Collins remains limited. This offense has full confidence in C.J. Stroud, and I would start all of his weapons if they were healthy. If Nico plays, I would start him as well. Tank Dell is a solid wide receiver two with the potential to be a wide receiver one this week.
Honorable Mentions: Rashee Rice, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Rondale Moore
TE, Trey McBride – AZ vs. HOU (31st)
If you can’t tell, I like this Arizona and Houston game to produce some fantasy production. Trey McBride has exploded since Zach Ertz has gone on the injured reserve. Getting Kyler back was only a good thing. McBride has earned some trust, and in this offense, he is the second target currently. Unless you have one of the top guys, you should be starting McBride every week. Not to mention, this is the second-best fantasy tight end matchup.
Honorable Mentions: Logan Thomas, Luke Musgrave, and Tyler Conklin
Detroit Lions vs. CHI (30th)
Chicago is the third-best matchup for fantasy defenses. A lot of that was during the Tyson Bageant games. But let’s not forget that Justin Fields has some turnover issues. Fields’ fumbling concerns and interceptions could result in some fantasy points. Fields also takes sacks at a high rate, and Detroit has a massive advantage this week. Chicago’s offensive line is amongst the worst in the league, and Detroit’s defensive line is one of the best.
Honorable Mentions: Bills, Jets, Browns
Sits of The Week
QB, Trevor Lawrence – JAX vs TEN (14th)
Trevor Lawrence has been up and down all year. He needs to be benched until he shows up. Last year, we saw this too; he finished very strong, and we hope to see that. I would not drop him. I believe too much in the talent. But Lawrence has hurt your team too many times this season. Tennessee runs a man defense, and Lawrence has only completed 55% of his passes against man this season. He has only topped 18 once this season. Put him in time-out.
QB, Baker Mayfield – TB @ SF (3rd)
Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans are coming into this one limited. San Francisco is never a fun matchup for any quarterback, and I have Mayfield as a mid to back-end quarterback two option this week. I am sitting him in some superflex leagues for options like Goff, Howell, Purdy, or Joshua Dobbs. He has been rushing the ball, and he has been throwing at a high rate. You could find worse options, but we saw what San Francisco did to Lawrence.
RB, Najee Harris – PIT vs CLE (6th)
Najee Harris was RB45 the last time they played against Cleveland. It is hard to sit him after he has been an RB1 in three of the last four weeks. Harris, before the bye week, had only one top 20 performance and four performances between RB38-RB45. Since the bye week, Harris has been RB13, RB22, RB12, and RB9. But this is also a 50/50 split. Harris was in on 51% of snaps last week, and he has not topped 60% of snaps all year.
RB, James Cook – BUF vs. NYJ (20th)
James Cook looked amazing last week, but we also saw him ride the pine for a quarter for fumbling. He then fumbled again but picked it back up and finished a 30-yard run. Cook’s usage has been inconsistent, and he has not been used in key situations. What you want from your running backs is to be on good offenses, used in the passing game, and used on the goal line. This offense just fired their coordinator, and Cook is maybe the 4th or 5th option in the goal line as well as in the receiving game.
WR, Diontae Johnson – PIT at CLE (3rd)
Diontae Johnson gets the tough Cleveland Browns defense and Denzel Ward. The last time they played was last season. Johnson was WR23 and WR50, not to mention Cleveland’s defense is much better this year. Kenny Pickett is struggling, and Johnson is coming off of a 2-point performance. There are plenty of options that you can start over him this week. I am starting Terry McLaurin, Tank Dell, and many others over him this week.
WR, Adam Thielen – CAR vs. DAL (2nd)
Adam Thielen is still a start, but I am lowering expectations. I doubt you have better options, but you can check my rankings to see who I am starting above him. Dallas has been great against wide receivers, even following the injury to Trevon Diggs. Bland and Gilmore are playing really well. The pass rush has been making life miserable for quarterbacks. Dallas’ defensive line is going to have its way with Carolina’s front, making things tough for Bryce Young and Adam Thielen.
TE, Cade Otton – TB at SF (4th)
San Francisco is surprisingly not great against wide receivers in fantasy football. But they are stingy against the tight end position. They have ultra-athletic safeties and linebackers, allowing the 4th least amount of points to the position. Otton is a mid tight end two this week and should only be used if needed.
Seattle Seahawks vs LAR (17th)
Seattle had one monster week against the Giants, but they have only two double-digit performances. Only one game in the last 6 weeks has had over 10 points. Washington was a plus matchup, and they scored only six points. Their schedule gets harder after this week as well, so you will be dropping them. There are much better options on the slate. If Brett Rypien starts, I will change my tune. But all signs point to Stafford and Kyren returning.
