Daily College Basketball Free Picks – November 9th

New Mexico at St. Mary’s (-4.5) (O/U 142.5)

This is a key early season matchup, with both teams ranked in the KenPom Top 40 as tournament hopefuls. Richard Pitino and New Mexico had higher hopes than the NIT last season after starting 14-0. However, the Lobos got beat up by the conference play, and injuries derailed March Madness aspirations.

Don’t confuse son Richard for his father Rick’s coaching pedigree despite the last name. St. Mary’s is not only an NCAA Tournament team, but they should challenge Gonzaga for the West Coast Conference, with sophomore PG Aidan Mahaney leading the way offensively. Back to the better team in a revenge spot as St. Mary’s welcomes New Mexico for the game of the night.

The Pick: St. Mary’s -4.5 (-110)

UC-Bakersfield at USC (-23.5) (O/U 141.5)

The second and last free pick is USC. Trojans come back home from Vegas after securing a win against last year’s Coach of the Year, Jerome Tang, and the Kansas State Wildcats. Isaiah Collier and Boogie Ellis combined for 42 of the Trojans’ 82 points. The expectations have no limits for this duo. CS Bakersfield secured a one-point win of their own in their opener vs Southern Utah. Up against the athletes, the hype, and the home crowd – this is a tall task for CS Bakersfield. USC should come out hot and extend the gap in the second half.

The Pick: USC -23.5 (-110)

Best of luck to all who tail and let it ride!
