College Basketball Picks November 8th
Lipscomb at Drake (-13.5) (O/U 143.5)
These two mid-major programs have had success over the last few seasons. Drake returns a lot more starters than Lipscomb and is clearly the better team. Lipscomb is a very capable Atlantic Sun team and will do its best to set the pace of this game. This is Drake’s first run of the season, so they may be a tad slow out of the gates. With Lipscomb’s slower pace and it being Drake’s first game, let’s take a look under the total.
The Pick: Under 143.5
Arizona State vs. Mississippi State (-4.5) (O/U 134.5)
Neutral site contest as ASU plays against Mississippi State in Chicago. The Bulldogs do one thing very well, and that is DEFENSE. You know what you are getting against a Chris Jans-coached team. This ASU team is talented, but they may struggle against this type of defense. With new names on this roster, I can see them being suffocated by this Mississippi State defense.
The Pick: Mississippi State -4.5
The SEC will be represented at the Barstool Sports Invitational with the arrival of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Head Coach: Chris Jans
Player to Watch: Tolu Smith
Coach Jans comes to Starkville after an elite mid-major run at New Mexico State.
