Just like old lady luck, the NHL can often be a cruel and fickle league. Unfortunately, Friday night’s NHL Underdog picks were one for three, no doubt due to her involvement. Saturday night brings out a magnificent 15-game slate, which means 15 new opportunities to find paydirt. Like Bane said in The Dark Knight Rises, “It doesn’t matter who we are. What matters is our plan.” And Saturday night, our plan is to build a banger! Here are my four best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for November 4.
The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for November 4
Seth Jarvis Higher Than 0.5 Points
The 21-year-old Carolina Hurricanes center has tallied 10 points across 11 games to start his 2023 season. On Saturday night, he and the Hurricanes head to Long Island for a battle with the New York Islanders. Jarvis is also spreading his 10 points out, as four of them have been registered on away ice. This pick is more of a hunch than anything else, but they always tell you to trust your gut. So bite down, give her hell, and take Higher Than on 0.5 Points for Seth Jarvis on Saturday night.
Matthew Tkachuk Higher Than 0.5 Assists
The Florida Panthers head to the Windy City on Saturday to take on Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks. My usage of Tkachuk isn’t necessarily because he’s been setting the world on fire, but rather an indictment against Chicago. Tkachuk has spent his career filling the box score with assists, particularly against the inferior competition. And here in 2023, five of his seven total assists have been tallied on the road. The Panthers should be lighting the lamp several times in this contest and cruise their way to victory. So put on your boat shoes, and let’s set sail on Matthew Tkachuk to go Higher Than 0.5 Assists.
Matt Duchene Higher Than 0.5 Points
Our third NHL Underdog pick ‘em entry on Saturday is a brand new face in this article series. Welcome to the party, Matt Duchene. We’re all counting on you back there. The Dallas Stars center has eased his way into the season but is now riding a five-game point streak. The eye test on Duchene also indicates that it’s no coincidence the Stars have won four of those five games. Saturday night, he will be involved in 5v5 and on the power play, as the Canucks are one of the more penalized teams in the NHL. You want to get nuts!? Let’s get nuts and take Matt Duchene Higher Than 0.5 Points against the Canucks.
Jared McCann Higher Than 0.5 Points
Fourth on our NHL Underdog entry pick ‘em list is “old reliable” himself, Jared McCann. Saturday night, McCann and the Kraken welcome a struggling Calgary Flames team to town, and I expect a good showing. Currently riding a three-game goal scoring streak, the Kraken Center is starting to turn the screw here in 2023. Add in that he has tallied three multi-point games in his last five, and you might start to see the smoke coming from his ears. So let’s anchor our NHL Underdog entry with a familiar face and take Higher Than 0.5 Points for Jared McCann.
