The NFL Trade deadline is October 31st at 4 pm EST. Most years, we see a lot of rumors, and no one ends up being traded. We have already seen several minor deals, but nothing significant at this point. Identifying the buyers and sellers is pretty easy. Good teams will be buying, and bad teams will be selling. Let’s look at NFL trade rumors and make some predictions. This is a two-part series. These are my NFC trade deadline predictions only.

NFL Trade Deadline: 10 NFC Trade Candidates, Predictions, and Dynasty Impact
Trading is not easy because there are many factors that get involved. First, there has to be a need and a player that fits the need that is available. Second, can the teams make it work financially? Some contracts really depreciate the value of a player or just make it impossible for a team to afford them. Good teams also likely have $50 Million quarterbacks and don’t have a lot of money to spend. Here is a current look at each team’s salary cap space via Overthecap.com.
Buyers
Philadelphia Eagles – S, Jeremy Chinn
The Eagles are always busy, and their General Manager, Howie Roseman, is one of the best in the business. Philadelphia could be looking to retool this defense. They lost a lot of pieces this offseason, and it is not as good as it was in 2022. They could target the Panthers, Brian Burns or Jeremy Chinn. Philly is rumored to be in the market for a safety, and I would say Jeremy Chinn or Budda Baker are the most likely candidates.
On offense, this team is pretty set, barring injury. If they added anything, they could add some depth at wide receiver. A player like K.J. Osborn, Darnell Mooney, or even Adam Thielen would be interesting. This team is already loaded and an obvious contender. It is hard to find needs, but Howie isn’t afraid to add to positions of strength.
Dynasty Impact – The Panthers will see a lot of turnover, and investing in some of their younger pieces would make sense in IDP formats. As far as Philadelphia, a move for Jeremy Chinn would put him right in the lineup.
Dallas Cowboys – RB, Derrick Henry
The Cowboys started the season off hot, but they have cooled off as of late. They had some injuries to the offensive line, and this really slowed down their offense. The defensive lost Trevon Diggs for the season and has had several players banged up as well. Dallas is aggressive and could make multiple moves. The rumors that they could make a big splash for Kyle Pitts or a running back.

Josh Jacobs, James Conner, or Derrick Henry would be great additions to this offense to pair with Tony Pollard. Cheaper options like D’Onta Foreman could make more sense cap-wise. Adding Derrick Henry would take pressure off of both Pollard and Prescott. We could see Dallas try to add to the offensive line or defense as well. They are missing Trevon Diggs, and finding someone to fill his spot like Donte Jackson would help.
Dynasty Impact – Tony Pollard is a free agent next year, and his stock is really based on a big 2023. He has seen an increase in volume but a decrease in efficiency. Every game he plays, the lower his stock goes as he prepares for free agency. Adding a running back like Henry would lower his dynasty stock. If Henry was traded, Tyjae Spears’ stock would soar!
Detroit Lions – WR, DeAndre Hopkins
The Detroit Lions have a commanding lead over their division and should cruise to the playoffs. Jared Goff needs more support, and the additions this offseason have helped. This offseason, they added Sam LaPorta, David Montgomery, and Jahmyr Gibbs. Jameson Williams is back, but their offense could still use more. Detroit could be in the market for a wide receiver. Names to watch: Mike Evans, Jerry Jeudy, and DeAndre Hopkins.
DeAndre Hopkins would be a perfect fit with LaPorta and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Hopkins gets to join a contender, and the Lions would have a dynamic duo. Davante Adams would be another great fit, but the Raiders are saying he is not for sale.
Dynasty Impact – Amon-Ra St. Brown would take a slight bump, and Goff would see an increase. Hopkins would not move much, but Treylon Burks could be a winner.
Los Angeles Rams – EDGE, Brian Burns
Los Angeles is one of the biggest surprise teams, and they have done a nice job rebuilding. Last year, they tried to get Brian Burns, and they could try it again. This team is not afraid to trade away picks. McVay, Stafford, and Donald are all close to retiring. An all-in move like this would make a lot of sense. They would also win by keeping Burns away from Philadelphia and, more importantly, San Francisco.
On offense, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Rams make a splash at running back. Adding a running back like Josh Jacobs or even Zack Moss would be great. This offensive line has been playing really well, but Kyren Williams is on the short-term IR. Williams doesn’t profile like a three-down back, and the Rams could look to add a bigger back.
Dynasty Impact – Kyren Williams was a player you should have traded while you could. You might have missed the window. Burns would maintain his dynasty stock, and Yetur Gross-Matos would fill in for Burns.
San Francisco 49ers – CB, Patrick Surtain
San Francisco somehow has the most salary cap in the league. They can go big game hunting, and Patrick Surtain would be a monster addition. The biggest names on the board could be Patrick Surtain and Brian Burns. San Francisco could keep these players away from their competitors while adding to their loaded roster. Surtain and Ward would be a nasty duo with that 49er pass rush.
On offense, we could see the 49ers add more weapons, and maybe they could be a mystery team for one of these wide receivers. Imagine Mike Evans, DeAndre Hopkins, or Jerry Jeudy to the 49ers. Personally, I would love Adam Thielen to San Francisco.
Dynasty Impact – San Francisco’s defense has a lot of big pieces. Surtain would be a great fit, and either Fabian Moreau or Ja’Quan McMillan. Moreau played well for the New York Giants last year.
Seattle Seahawks – LT, Garrett Boles
Seattle is firmly in the playoff hunt, but they have been playing with a banged-up offensive line. Geno has been banged up, and they can’t protect him right now. This offense is loaded with weapons, but the foundation is a little shaky. Adding an impactful offensive lineman would really solidify the foundation for his offense. Boles would have a positive impact on both the running and passing game.
Dynasty Impact – The Achilles heel of the Seattle Seahawks has been their offensive line. Adding a starting left tackle like Garrett Boles would be massive for Seattle and all of their playmakers. Geno would get a bump with this addition. They could pass the ball more and involve Jaxon Smith-Njigba more with better blocking.
Atlanta Falcons – QB, Justin Fields
The Atlanta Falcons are winning despite Desmond Ridder’s best efforts to lose. They are currently winning their division on the back of good defense and their running game. Atlanta has a good roster, including a great offensive line. Their defense is playing really well, and they could be in the market for some additions at pass rusher or linebacker.
There is some buzz that Atlanta could make a move for a quarterback like Kyler Murray or Justin Fields. The injury to Fields adds a twist, but this doesn’t rule out a trade. Ridder could play with Fields as the backup while he heals up and learns the system. Atlanta is looking like a playoff team and is unlikely to be in range for one of the top quarterbacks in this upcoming draft. They can make up for passing on Fields for Kyle Pitts.
The Falcons could be sellers, too. Some rumors that they could trade Cordarelle Patterson and Kyle Pitts. We have seen Pitts more involved recently, and this week was the first action Patterson has gotten. Atlanta is coming off of a big divisional win, and they are currently in the division lead.
Dynasty Impact – Justin Fields would keep his value, possibly see an increase, and Desmond Ridder would lose his. Adding Fields would be a positive for the offensive skill players in Atlanta. This would confirm what we already know: that the Bears are drafting Caleb Williams or Drake Maye.
Sellers
Carolina Panthers – Trade Brian Burns, Jeremy Chinn, and more!
Carolina is having a fire sale, and we could see multiple trades. They have a few nice pieces, but the new coaching staff wants to create draft capital for their rebuild. Carolina is rumored to have several defensive players on the block, including Brian Burns. Last year, they turned down multiple firsts for Burns and have yet to pay him.
Adam Thielen, Hayden Hurst, and Terrace Marshall all could be moved. Marshall is the one that is involved with a lot of NFL trade rumors. I would love to see Adam Thielen go to a contender. The defense is expected to be blown up with Brian Burns, Donte Jackson, and Jeremy Chinn, the top candidates. Derrick Brown is a cornerstone piece, but would they move him for the right price? The Panthers will trade players. It is just a matter of who.
The dynasty impact would be great for Bryce Young in the long term. Carolina needs as much draft capital as possible, and they need to build up that offensive line. This coaching staff can help find players on both sides that fit their schemes. These are some good players, but draft capital and cap space will benefit Carolina, who doesn’t have a first-round pick.
Trade Block – Andy Dalton, Chuba Hubbard, Terrace Marshall, Adam Thielen, Donte Jackson, Jeremy Chinn, Brian Burns
#Panthers pass rusher Brian Burns is generating trade interest again. Carolina is listening to offers, and the #Lions and #Rams are possible suitors. What are the Panthers seeking in return, and what are the odds they move him? https://t.co/AGcs4ioXSM

Minnesota Vikings – Trade Danielle Hunter and K.J. Osborn
The Vikings have plenty of free agents next season, most notably Kirk Cousins. If Minnesota could deal Kirk Cousins to the Atlanta Falcons or the New York Jets, it would be quite the headline. Cousins is a free agent next year, and his salary really complicates any realistic trade happening. No one has the cap to acquire him. Danielle Hunter and K.J. Osborn are the most likely to be traded.
Patrick Jones would be the biggest beneficiary, and Jalen Nailor from a dynasty perspective. Both players were recently drafted and would see increased opportunities.
Trade Block – Kirk Cousins, Cam Akers, K.J Osborn, Danielle Hunter, Harrison Smith, Harrison Phillips
Arizona Cardinals – Trade James Conner and Budda Baker
The Arizona Cardinals started the season without Kyler Murray and with zero expectations. Arizona has been much better than advertised, and fans can be excited about their future. The Cardinals have great draft capital already and could look to add to it at the NFL Trade deadline. Two players involved in trade rumors are Budda Baker and James Conner.
The Raiders are likely to move on from Josh McDaniels this offseason, and Jimmy G might not be far behind. Adams is not going to want to hang around for a rebuild. The trick is just finding the right situation and someone willing to pay up. Buffalo and Kansas City look like great fits, but can they afford him? Would Baltimore or Cleveland be able to make the move? Adams will be fun. Maybe he will move next year. San Francisco or Philly would be wild!
Trade Block– James Conner, Marquise Brown, Budda Baker
Chicago Bears – Trade Jaylon Johnson and others
The Chicago Bears are heavily rumored to be open for business. They currently have the top two picks in the NFL Draft and are looking toward the future. Justin Fields may not be involved, and if healthy, he could be on the move. The Chicago Bears are clear sellers, and their aggressive general manager won’t be quiet at the NFL trade deadline.
Trade Block– D’Onta Foreman, Darnell Mooney, Yannick Ngokwoue, Jaylon Johnson,
