One month into the swing season, we head to Japan for the Zozo Championship. Aside from playing in a different time zone, we will see a bit of a style shift in the golf. The last few weeks have been a driver-wedge copy and paste for 72 holes. This week, we will see some more intricacies in the designs of the holes. This will require more precision and greater risk-reward disparities on every shot. We will take a look at some of the best tee-to-green players in this field to lock into our 2023 Zozo Championship DFS Lineups.

2023 Zozo Championship DFS: Best Plays in Each Range
9K and Above
Cam Davis $9,500
Cam Davis has been playing some exceptional golf the last few weeks. He is simply hitting too many solid golf shots not to pay off over 72 holes. At this price point of 9.5K, I would expect him to be a tad less owned. Cam Davis is a staple name of the mid-8 K range, so I would expect people to play the Fowlers and the Bradleys around this price point. DraftKings is sharp, and they know Davis is playing solid golf. Expect him to be in the optimal lineup in this small field event.
Thomas Detry $8,800
I love Thomas Detry on tree-lined golf courses, and that is what we will have here. Detry has as much talent as anyone in the world but tends to fold when the pressure hits. In my eyes, he is an excellent DFS play because of his real top-five equity and narrative that he “cannot win.” Don’t overthink it. You play Tommy Deetz on Parkland-style tracks.

Aaron Rai $8,000
Aaron Rai came off the second-worst iron week of his career in his start at the Open de France but bounced back nicely. He finished T28 at The Shriners Open but, more importantly, gained over two strokes with his irons. This golf course suits his game much better than TPC Summerlin did. Aaron Rai does not necessarily need multiple top-ten finishes in a row to show predictive tendencies. He pops randomly, but I believe this course makes a lot of sense for him, and the game is there.
Sam Ryder $7,000
Sam Ryder has played this golf course for the last two years and has performed well. In 2021, he finished T7 and gained 6.93 strokes to the field. Ryder already has two starts under his belt this fall, which resulted in a T14 and T51. Nothing special, but at $7,000, he is a great play in this field.
Ben Taylor $6,300
Ball Striking Ben Taylor is coming off two straight-made cuts to start his fall season. He popped last year around this time of the year and had a rough finish to the season. At a golf course that will not require twenty under, I like to lean on golfers who show high off the tee and approach prowess. Taylor is not coming in blazing, but he surely knows how to pop in those categories. This is a very bleak 6K range. Throw in Ben Taylor to cap off those Zozo Championship DFS Lineups.
