The tight end position is a pain for fantasy football and dynasty formats as well. The 2022 NFL draft class blessed us with some serious talent. Sam LaPorta is already an every-week starter, while Luke Musgrave and Dalton Kincaid see continued opportunities. Michael Mayer is also starting to get involved, and there is more talent coming soon. Brock Bowers might be the dynasty tight end 1 already. Let’s talk about the rest of my updated devy tight end rankings.

Updated Devy Tight End Rankings
All of my other devy positional rankings are already listed on sportsgamblingpodcast.com, and we will be mock drafting soon. Tight ends are a tough group because it typically takes a while for them to pop. Ask those Kyle Pitts investors. We are starting to see faster results, and hopefully, this continues. Everyone knows about Brock Bowers. I will highlight the rest of my top ten. Here are my full devy tight end rankings.

Top 10 Devy Tight End Rankings
1. Brock Bowers, Georgia (Class of 2024)
There isn’t much to say about Bowers. He has the hands and fluidity of a wide receiver. Bowers was the best tight end in college football for the last three years. Bowers is a rare blue-chip talent and could end up a top-10 NFL draft pick. Currently, PFF has him as the 5th player on their board right now.
2. Ja’Tavion Sanders, Texas (Class of 2024)
Sanders is another dynamic talent who is super creative with the ball in his hands. Although he doesn’t have game-breaking speed, he has quick feet and creates separation. Sanders’ value in the redzone and creating after the catch set him apart from the group. Currently projected as an early 2nd-round draft pick in the 2024 NFL draft. He should see the field early and should be the second tight end off of the board.

3. Jaheim Bell, Florida State (Class of 2024)
Jaheim Bell was a highly recruited tight end who transferred to Florida State from South Carolina. Bell is an undersized tight end and a jumbo wide receiver. He is 6’3″ and 232 lbs and is smaller than his teammate Johnny Wilson. Bell is a matchup nightmare with his combination of size, speed, and instincts. His burst and lateral quickness are unique for the position.
4. Oscar Delp, Georgia (Class of 2025)
Delp happens to be playing beside the best tight end in the country. He has flashed and been productive despite this. Oscar Delp is expected to be the top tight end in the 2024 class. Georgia’s pro-style offense really features the tight end and helps get them prepared. Playing against and blocking SEC defenders is quite the test each week, as well. At 6’5″ and 245 lbs, he has the prototypical size we are looking for, and his athletic traits have scouts drooling.
5. Luke Lachey, Iowa (Class of 2024)
Lachey is unfortunately likely to miss the season with an ankle injury. He could end up being the third tight end in this NFL’s draft. We know Iowa produces offensive linemen and tight ends. Lachey will get a bump because of LaPorta. His ability to block and pass-catch will help him get draft capital. Draft capital projections have to be considered in your devy rankings.
6. Michael Trigg, Ole Miss (Class of 2024)
Trigg was a four-star recruit who played as a true freshman at USC before transferring to Ole Miss. He is a physical player and a combat catch type of player. At 6’3″ and a thick 240 lbs, he is a physical player across the middle of the field. His length and frame will be a concern as a blocker. His ability to create yards after the catch and as an overall receiver should help him get into day two.
7. Colston Loveland, Michigan (Class of 2025)
Loveland is a converted wide receiver who has bulked up to 245 lbs and has a 6’5″ frame. His experience as a wide receiver shows up in his ball-tracking ability to make plays downfield. Colston is averaging 13.8 yards per catch right now and 12.8 this season. Loveland has great size and speed. He looks the part and moves like you want for a fantasy football tight end. He creates separation and is a creative player after the catch.

8. Benjamin Yurosek, Stanford (Class of 2024)
Yurosek is a big-bodied tight end with a long frame. He shows good quickness off of the line and at the top of routes. Natural pass-catcher with reliable hands caught 91 receptions and 999 yards from 2021-2022. Not many tight ends get this type of production, and he could find himself with day two draft capital.
9. Mason Taylor, LSU (Class of 2025)
Mason Taylor broke out as a freshman and has an NFL pedigree. His father is NFL-great Jason Taylor, and he looked like he belonged as a freshman. He moves like a wide receiver with and without the ball in his hands. His receiving ability brings the upside you are looking for with Devy prospects. A projected Day 2 pick in 2025, Taylor is an athletic tight end who fits really well in today’s NFL.
10. Duce Robinson, USC (Class of 2026)
Duce Robinson gets paired up with Malachi Nelson and Lane Kiffin. Robinson was a five star recruit and the #1 tight end in the 2023 recruiting class. His 98 rating on 247 Sports Recruiting is impressive. Duce already looks the part at 6’6″ and 229 lbs with a long frame and wingspan. He is a converted wide receiver with good athleticism and lateral movement. A dual-sport athlete as a baseball player with great hand-eye coordination.
