Week three of the swing season is here, and we are already cooking. Sahith Theegala cashed us in week one. Ben Griffin gave us a T2 in week two. Let’s see what we have in store at The Shriners Open. Here are my 2023 Shriners Open DFS plays!
2023 Shriners Open DFS: Best Plays in Each Range
9K and Above
Ludvig Aberg $11,000
Simply enough, I’m buying as much Ludvig stock as possible. Ludvig Aberg seriously sets himself apart off the tee, giving him short irons and wedges into nearly every hole. I made the case a few times, but all of the best players in the world share one thing in common. It’s long and straight off the tee, and Ludvig surely has that in his game.
He has played the most golf over the last two months of anyone in this range, which is a good thing in my eyes. The rest of them will have some rust to knock off. Click the top name on the slate to start your 2023 Shriners Open DFS Lineups.
Mid Range
Tom Hoge $8,700
Hollywood Hoge is back to his DNA. Gaining multiple strokes on approach. Hoge is one of the best short iron and wedge players in the world when he is playing well, and the form is showing. Back-to-back top-15 finishes for Hoge have him trending well coming into this week. Hoge is a great second man this week.
Doug Ghim $7,800
Doug Ghim plays his golf at TPC Summerlin. Home games are never an end-all-be-all, but this is a great course for Ghim nonetheless. He is one of the more accurate drivers on tour, which is a must here, and he is awesome inside 150. The putter is generally an issue, but he has shown some life on the greens over his last handful of starts. Hopefully, he is used to these greens more than anything.
Nick Hardy $7,300
This range of golfers is a ton of young, unproven players. None of them will garner a ton of ownership, and they all give us nice ceilings for their price point. Nick Hardy may not be the exact answer we are looking for, but he is a guy I will surely sprinkle in my lineups. He is not in the greatest form, but he played well enough to make the playoffs just a few weeks ago.
6K Range
Ryan Moore $6,500
Rymo modeled out extremely well for me, and that does not necessarily shock me. He is extremely accurate off the tee, hits his wedges close, and does his best work in easy-scoring conditions. That is what we are looking for at this style of golf course, so let’s run out Ryan Moore at 6.5k to complete our Shriners Open DFS lineups.
