DraftKings Dingers: 3 Home Run Picks for Tuesday, September 12th
Home Run Pick: Trea Turner (+540)
Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner is on an absolute heater right now. Since being given a standing ovation on August 4th, Turner is batting .381 with a 1.231 OPS. He has 15 home runs in just 33 games.
Turner has been on a power surge for the past few weeks now. Since August 23rd, he has 11 home runs in 16 games. He’s also homered in six of nine September games thus far.
Max Fried is a tough southpaw, but Turner has a homer every 18 AB vs. LHP this season as opposed to every 26 AB vs. RHP. You can’t pass up these odds at +540.
Home Run Prop: Cody Bellinger (+425)
Cody Bellinger has had a resurgence with the Chicago Cubs this season. He has 25 home runs in 114 games, including five home runs in 12 September games.
The Cubs are visiting the Rockies tonight at hitter-friendly Coors Field. Colorado starter Chris Flexen has allowed 12 home runs in eight starts as a member of the Rockies. Give me +425 for Bellinger to hit one into the Coors bleachers.
Home Run Player Prop: Julio Rodriguez (+500)
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez is up to 30 home runs on the season after hitting just 13 in his first 94 games. Since then, he has 17 home runs in 43 games — and it’s even better recently.
Like our two picks above, J-Rod has been hot in September — and even a few games prior. Since August 26th, Rodriguez has nine home runs in 14 games.
I’ll gladly take +500 odds for Rodriguez to keep it up tonight at home against left-handed starter Patrick Sandoval and a lackluster Angels bullpen.
