Fantasy Baseball Streaming: Three Two-Start Pitchers Available in Most Leagues (Week of Aug. 7)
Seth Lugo (SD) – Monday vs. LAD, Sunday @ ARI (47% Rostered)
Seth Lugo made last week’s article as well at 37% rostered, but his second start of the week was pushed back with the acquisition of Rich Hill. Now, he’ll instead start twice in the coming week.
Lugo boasts a 4-5 record with a 3.54 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. He’s coming off of a stellar performance at Coors Field in which he struck out nine across seven two-run innings.
The reliever-turned-starter has allowed three earned runs or fewer in 13 of his 16 starts this season, including in three straight (6 ER in 20 IP) and seven of his last eight since returning from injury on June 20th (47.1 IP, 16 ER, 50 Ks).
Ranger Suarez (PHI) – Monday vs. WSH, Sunday vs. MIN (28% Rostered)
Ranger Suarez has been a bit hit or miss this season for the Phillies, but he has two pretty good matchups this week. He faces off against the Nationals at home, with the Phillies coming off of a weekend in which their offense woke up a bit.
The Twins aren’t too much of a threat themselves, so you could be in line for two wins from Suarez this week.
Kutter Crawford (BOS) – Tuesday vs. KC, Sunday @ DET (27% Rostered)
Kutter Crawford has one of the best names in baseball and one of the best two-start matchups this week, with the Royals and Tigers on the docket.
Crawford is 5-5 with a 3.65 ERA and 1.09 WHIP on the season, with nearly as many strikeouts (81) as innings pitched (82). He’s worth a look in more than 27% of leagues just by those stats alone.
The right-hander rarely allows more than a few runs, and when he does, it hasn’t gone above 4 ER since opening day. Crawford is 2-1 with just 5 ER against in 20.2 IP over his last four starts since the All-Star break.
