We are back again with another edition of some MLB Underdog Pick ’em plays!
Underdog Pick ’em is a great way to get down on some player props. They allow you to choose between two and five props to group together, kind of like a parlay. For two legs, you win three times your stake; six times for three legs; 10 times for four legs; and 20 times for five legs.
Putting these together can be fun — and profitable!
Here are our three Underdog MLB Pick ’em picks for Thursday. Rather than go for it all with the five-leg parlay, let’s focus in on three solid picks that can cash for six times your stake.
Underdog MLB Pick’em: Three Picks for Thursday, July 20th
TB @ BAL (6:40 p.m. ET) – Tyler Glasnow under 17.5 pitching outs
Tampa Bay Rays starter Tyler Glasnow has electric stuff. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to stay healthy or pitch that deep into games consistently.
Glasnow has completed at least six innings (18 outs) in just two of his nine starts this season. Granted, one of them came last time out against the Royals, but the Orioles beat Glasnow up pretty good exactly a month ago with six hits and six runs on Glasnow in just 4 1/3 innings (13 outs).
Go with the numbers and go against Glasnow tonight.
OAK @ HOU (9:40 p.m. ET) – Hogan Harris over 3.0 earned runs allowed
Athletics Southpaw Hogan Harris has had a rough go this season. In 10 appearances (four starts), Harris has allowed 34 earned runs in 47 innings (6.51 ERA).
Harris has allowed a total of 20 ER in his last four outings (18 2/3 IP), giving up at least four earned runs in each appearance (two starts, two relief).
The Astros can bang around some pitchers, and Harris is ripe for the picking on Thursday night.
OAK @ HOU (9:40 p.m. ET) – Kyle Tucker over 9.5 fantasy points
Astros slugger Kyle Tucker has been filling up the box score this season. He is batting .298 with a .866 OPS, hitting 14 home runs to go along with 17 stolen bases.
Tucker should be able to get on base at least twice against the lowly Athletics and has a good chance of either scoring a run or driving in some runs as well. A stolen base is also worth four points which would get nearly halfway to the 10 points needed to cash this.
