2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic DFS: Best Plays in Each Price Range

A down week on the PGA Tour, but that does not mean we cannot make money at Detroit Golf Club. This is probably the most boring golf course we see every year, and it will lend itself to a variety of golfers on the leaderboard. Bombers can let loose as it is not penal off the tee at all, or plotters can hit every fairway and tap into the iron game. At the end of the day, this is a pure birdie fest, and no matter which routes you take, tee to green, rolling 20-plus birdie putts will be a requirement.

2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic DFS – $9,000+

Max Homa $10,200

Max will be the forgotten man up top, providing us with serious leverage. Finau is the defending champ and crushes these weak field events. Fowler is a man on fire, and Thomas is coming off one of his best weeks of the season. Max has missed consecutive cuts around the number but is not playing terribly by any means.

He’s been about field average across the board and is not scared to win in poor form. His win at the 2022 Fortinet Championship was following two of his worst approach weeks of the season. Start your lineups with Max Homa this week.

Keegan Bradley $9,200

I wonder what the narrative will be behind Keegan this week. Will the public fade him coming off an emotional win close to home? They just might. Gaining over seven strokes on both approaches and on the greens, Keegan should feel great heading to a golf course he has never missed the cut at. Play the underpriced Keegan Bradley at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.

2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic DFS – Mid Range

Gordon Sargent $7,500

This price may be egregious, but we are doing it anyway. Listen, there could not be a better golf course for Gordy Sarge. Being just 20 years old, he does not have many PGA Tour rounds under his belt, but what we know is that he is LONG and not afraid to let it loose. This golf course has very little penalty for driving it offline and does not have many doglegs. You can stand up and hit it as long and free as you would like, which is what Sargent does best. Bite the price and play Sargent this week.

Mark Hubbard $7,500

Hubbard flopped last week. Coming off a Travelers Championship where Hubbard was 20% owned and one of the most popular bets of the season, it is no surprise he missed the cut. He still gained 2.73 strokes on approach in two rounds, which is very impressive. This run he has been on since the RBC Heritage has been very impressive. Four top 20 finishes and three events are gaining over seven on approach. Driving the ball will not be tough this week, and he can lean in on that elite iron play.

2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic DFS – $6K Range

Vincent Norrman $6,900

Norrman has missed three consecutive cuts, but this spot seems really solid for him. He ranks 11th on the entire tour in driving distance which he can really lean into on this track. Usually, a golfer who misses three straight cuts will get more of a discount, but he is still priced towards the top of the 6K range. DraftKings is sharper than we expect, so pay the 6.9 for Norrman, as he will make it through the cut and help your lineups this weekend at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
