This is truly one of my favorite tournaments of the year and will probably be a lot more fun than this past US Open. From the fans to the risk-reward holes to the closing stretch, this tournament never lets us down. Usually, I would be on site for the Travelers, but I will sadly not be there this weekend. Nonetheless, let’s take a look at the DFS slate and find a few bullets that can cash us some lineups.

2023 Travelers Championship DFS: Best Plays in Each Price Range
2023 Travelers Championship DFS – $9,000+
Patrick Cantlay $10,200
The Patrick Cantlay we saw at LACC was very unlike the Patrick Cantlay we have been seeing the last few weeks. He has been an absolute ball-striking savant the last few months, hitting the ball better than anyone not named Scottie Scheffler. All that amazing ball striking with a very lackluster putter cost Patty a win or two.
At LACC, we saw the opposite. He gave us some middle-of-the-pack ball striking with elite putting. It’s time we pair the two together! Cantlay has five consecutive top-15 finishes at TPC River Highlands and was in the final group last year. The vibes should be high as he heads back to a course that suits him well.
Matt Fitzpatrick $9,000
Matt Fitzpatrick will be one of the lowest-owned golfers in this range. Fitzy is coming off three consecutive top-20 finishes but has missed the cut in one trip here. This is a golf course that Fitz can dominate with his driver and, from there, lean into that trending wedge play and elite bent grass putting. He has succeeded in events like this, winning at Harbour Town following the Masters. Play Matt Fitzpatrick at low ownership this week.

Si Woo Kim $8,000
Si Woo Kim is a Pete Dye killer with wins at TPC Sawgrass and TPC River Highlands. He has gained in both ball striking categories in every start since the Wells Fargo Championship, including the two Majors. Si Woo has missed the cut in his last two trips here, but I would not shy away from him as he had poor course history in a few recent starts and ended up with a great performance. Emiliano Grillo $7,300
Although Emiliano Grillo missed the cut at the US Open, he is a player with massive upside at this price point. Winning just a few starts ago shows that his game is in a great place, and that was on a golf course that compares very well to TPC River Highlands. Grillo lost strokes on approach at LACC, which is something he rarely does.
The last time he did that was at the PGA Championship, and he followed that up with a win the following week at The Charles Schwab Challenge. Will Grillo win this week? No. He surely will play well and give you a chance to cash a few lineups.
2023 Travelers Championship DFS – 6K Range
Charley Hoffman $6,600
Charley Hoffman has made the cut ten times at TPC River Highlands and is coming off an encouraging showing at LACC. Ranking 26th on approach in that field is surely a sign in the right direction. He now heads to a golf course that suits his game and knows how to work his way around. At 6.6K, Hoffman will make it through the cut and give you some upside for the weekend.
