Happy Dinger Tuesday, baseball fans! The day when every home run matters that much more, at least for some of us.
For the uninitiated, Dinger Tuesday is a promotion offered by FanDuel in which a user can get up to $25 in bonus funds ($5 per home run in the game) if their player doesn’t hit a home run. For example, if you bet on Bryce Harper to hit a home run and he doesn’t, but the Phillies and Diamondbacks combine for five (or more) home runs in the game, you’ll get the full $25 back in the form of bonus bets.

Dinger Tuesday: Home Run Player Props For Tuesday, June 13th
Dinger Tuesday Strategy & Optimization
In prior years, users could typically bet as many games as they’d like to rack up free bets. However, in 2023, most users are now limited to a max of $50 in bonus bets on the day. It’s still a worthy promotion, but your bets should be more selective.
Ideally, you’d like to target three or four games that are expected to be higher-scoring (and/or with a lot of home runs) to maximize the bonus bets. If you hit on one of your bets, great, you likely profit overall and get some bonus bets. Everything else is gravy. The worst-case scenario is that you go 0-for-4 on your bets, but even then, you get $5 in bonus bets for every home run hit in those games.
Alright, let’s get into the home run player props for Dinger Tuesday on, June 13th!
Home Run Picks
COL @ BOS: Ryan McMahon (+450)
First and foremost, the Rockies-Red Sox game has one of the higher totals on the board at 9.5.
McMahon is who we’re looking at for our actual bet. Those +450 odds imply an 18.18% probability. The Rockies slugger has homered in 20% of his games in the last five, 10, and 20 contests.
It also helps that McMahon almost has as many home runs on the road (4) as he does at Coors Field (6). He’s riding a five-game hit streak, including a double yesterday and a home run on Sunday.
LAA @ TEX: Shohei Ohtani (+360)
Ohtani is locked in right now. He had two massive home runs on Monday night to take the American League lead in that category with 20. The two-way superstar is riding a nine-game hit streak with homers in four of those games.
The Rangers have yet to name a starting pitcher for Tuesday night (as of this morning), which can never be a good thing when you’re facing off against a team with guys like Ohtani and Mike Trout. I’ll back Ohtani to homer at least once again tonight.
CWS @ LAD: J.D. Martinez (+430)
After floundering in Boston last season, Martinez has found new life in Los Angeles. He’s up to 16 dingers on the season with an equal split of eight on the road (in 109 at-bats) and eight at home (in 88 at-bats).
Lance Lynn has not been his usual self this season for the White Sox, with a 6.72 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. He allowed 16 home runs in 13 starts, including four home runs in his last two outings (13 earned runs total).
After an off day on Monday, expect Martinez and the Dodgers to come out swinging in LA.
