2023 The Memorial DFS: Best Plays in Each Price Range

Yet another elevated event as we head to Ohio for The Memorial. A staple event on the PGA Tour, on one of the most pristine and amazing tracks we’ll see. Muirfield Village GC is a course that requires a complete bag to compete which will leave conditions on the tougher side and draw a leaderboard that looks major-esk. Let’s take a look at the pricing and find some players to lock into our lineups.

2023 The Memorial DFS: Best Plays in Each Price Range

2023 The Memorial DFS – $9,000+

Jon Rahm $11,000

We will hear all week how Jon Rahm is basically a two-time winner at this golf course after taking it down in 2020 and being forced to withdraw in 2021 with a covid scare. Rahm gained 21 strokes to the field in three rounds when he was forced to withdraw with a massive lead.

Rahm is coming off his worse finish since July, so I would not be shocked if a few more people hop off after the PGA Championship letdown. Jon Rahm has every shot in the world and knows his way around this place as well as anyone.

Collin Morikawa $9,900

Extremely interested to hear the community narrative on Collin Morikawa this week. He let down the community as a massive favorite on a golf course that fits his game perfectly. However, Morikawa has a mixed bag of results here which will help the ownership.

In 2021, Muirfield Village hosted the Workday Charity Open as a one-time replacement to the John Deere Classic to help travel during the pandemic. This was the week before The Memorial, which was, yes, at the same golf course. Morikawa went on to win the first and lose to Patrick Cantlay in a playoff the following week.

Although he missed this cut last season, he has succeeded on this track. As a result, we will see an ownership discount as well. Roster Collin Morikawa at The Memorial Tournament.

2023 The Memorial DFS – Mid Range

Cameron Young $8,800

Cam Young flop lag week. Young is coming off a missed cut at an event he was highly touted for and two other less-than-stellar finishes before that.

This is a golf course I believe Young will excel at. Total driving is a key stat in the corollary to success, and he does that as well as anyone. Unfortunately, the iron play and form are not exactly where we would like to see them, but he would be extremely chalky if that were the case. Also, we would not have this opportunity to grab this talent at this price.

Adam Scott $8,000

Adam Scott has not missed a cut since the 2022 PGA Championship and is rejuvenated as ever in the ball-striking categories. He is a savvy veteran who provides real upside. Looking at his Memorial track record. He has made his last nine cuts which include multiple top-15 finishes. At $8K minimum, Scott is a lineup lock at the 2023 Memorial.

2023 The Memorial DFS – $6K Range

Justin Suh $6,900

Justin Suh is off back-to-back solid finishes, and it looks like he has found something in his game again. When he was at his best, he was gaining on approach at a rapid rate, and he has done that in consecutive starts. Let’s stay ahead of the Suh train because if history repeats itself. He’ll be near the $8K range before we know it.
