Embrace your true degeneracy; embrace your commitment to the game. Alternate event PGA stops is where the actual DFS money can be made! We’ll take a look below at the five golfers you need to play this weekend at the 2023 Corales Puntacana Championship.
2023 Corales Puntacana DFS: Best Plays in Each Price Range
2023 Corales Puntacana DFS – $9,000+
Thomas Detry $9,600
Thomas Detry burst onto the 2022-2023 PGA tour scene finishing inside the top 15 in four of his first seven starts. A few of those starts were at coastal, resort-style golf courses; that is what we will see here.
Detry moved from Europe and, rather than living in the states, bought a place in Punta Cana! That said, he is more adept to these conditions than most of the field and is as high-class a player as anyone. Look for our guy Tommy Deets to be in the mix come Sunday afternoon.
2023 Corales Puntacana DFS – Middle Tier
Tyler Duncan $8,500
This is as leverage a play as it gets. Everyone and their mothers who will be playing Corales DFS will be clicking Akshay Bhatia at the same price point. Now I think Akshay will fair very well here and is a great bet, but this is a DFS article, and leverage is the name of the game.
I spoke so highly of T-Duncs in the 6k range the last two weeks as I believe he was miss priced, and he just about paid off his price. Now we see his price improve, which is a little tough to stomach, but I still see him playing well as he sits in great form and can easily contend in this field.
Dylan Wu $7,700
2nd year @PGATOUR player Dylan Wu got his 1st Tour top 10 two weeks ago at Honda. He entered rd 3 T20 for his 1st @THEPLAYERSChamp.
Told me this of that T10 at Honda: “Feels good. Feels like I finally finished off a solid tournament which I haven’t done in the past.”#THEPLAYERS pic.twitter.com/tmfM4SzU74

Dylan Wu is ready to tee it up in Punta Cana, coming off six straight made cuts. He has played here once before, making the cut last year, but he has much more experience at this point in his career. Wu is not a world-beater and can easily not be in the mix, but I view him as a safe option to make it through this cut while giving you some top-10 upside.
Brice Garnett $7,100
I have had some form of Brice Garnett liability over the last two weeks, and that has truthfully not done me well, but if there is one place to give it another go, it is here. Garnett’s lone PGA Tour victory came at the 2018 Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship.
The iron numbers I have been raving about over the last few weeks still are what they are, so I will not let two sour rounds of golf alter my thoughts on the strokes gained numbers he has presented. Combine the course history with solid strokes gained numbers, and we will give it one more
go with Brice Garnett.
2023 Corales Puntacana DFS – <$7,000
DJ Trahan $6,400
The 6K range is bleak, to say the least, but some names will make it to the weekend. DJ Trahan has the best tee-to-green numbers over the last 36 rounds out of any 6k player.
He does not get many starts nowadays but made it through the cut at the Puerto Rico open a few weeks back, which is a very similar style golf course. Also, he had made the cut in this event in 5 straight appearances. Something about the resort setup seems to fuel Trahan. It will be ugly but play DJ Trahan in your 2023 Corales Puntacana DFS lineups.
