There are few places you play Rory McIlroy without hesitation. Bay Hill Is one of them. He will be making his ninth trip to Bay Hill and has absolutely lit up the place. Besides winning, he always finds himself towards the top of the leaderboard. No matter what form Rory is in, you can pencil him in for a great result at Bay Hill.
The last few weeks have been disappointing by Rory. But he has been hitting the ball and the results will surely get better. The putter has been letting him down but by no means is Rory a poor putter. The week off was probably huge for him to head back to his home state of Florida and dial in that short game. If you are in the market of getting extremely different, Justin Thomas is the One and Done pick for the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational. He is truthfully not playing great golf and does not have much experience around Bay Hill. But on paper, JT should play well here. This course demands an elite tee to green game which is exactly what Justin Thomas is.
He has been struggling at the courses that require 20 birdies, and that will not be the case here. Is Scottie Scheffler going to go back-to-back for the second time this year? If he makes it happen again at Bay Hill, no one would be too surprised. Scottie thrives on driver heavy golf courses and that has proven at the places he has won at.
Besides him winning here last year, Scottie finished 15th in his debut at Bay Hill, which is very impressive. There is a clear Big 3 at the top of this leaderboard and it seems that the public is flocking to Rory.
