NFL DFS Sleepers For Week 18
NFL DFS Sleepers For Week 18

Even though most starters will be playing in Week 18, some teams are using backups due to injuries and/or rest.  While these backup players might not be the most talented in the league, they are now receiving a bunch of playing time. As a result, a lot of them are extremely underpriced in DFS and should be used in several lineups.

NFL DFS Sleepers For Week 18

Brandon Allen (QB) – $5,100 Salary

After the Cincinnati Bengals clinched the AFC North with a victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, there were questions regarding the team’s motivation for the upcoming game against the Cleveland Browns. However, coach Zac Taylor quickly addressed those questions by stating that a large number of starters will be rested. One of those starters that will not be playing is starting quarterback Joe Burrow. As a result, the starting quarterback will be Brandon Allen. While his ceiling might be relatively low, he has a great opportunity to record multiple touchdowns at a cheap price.

Case Keenum (QB) – $4,800 Salary

After Cleveland officially got eliminated from playoff contention, it was announced that starting quarterback Baker Mayfield would undergo season-ending shoulder surgery. As a result, Case Keenum is now the starting quarterback. In his one start this season, he recorded 199 passing yards and one passing touchdown. As a veteran, he has the capability of putting together a quality performance against an unmotivated Cincinnati defense.

Chase Claypool (WR) – $5,100 Salary

Even though Pittsburgh’s offense is extremely underwhelming, Chase Claypool is in line for a ton of targets in Week 18. Leading wide receiver Diontae Johnson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and he will be out for this game. As a result, expect Claypool to become the main target in the red zone. Plus, he has been targeted at least six times in three of the last four games so he has already been increasingly involved within the offense recently. Expect that trend to continue in the regular-season finale.

Cyril Grayson (WR) – $4,400 Salary

While most people were focused on Antonio Brown’s temper tantrum last week, the underrated story was the emergence of Cyril Grayson in the passing game. Last week, he recorded six receptions for 81 yards and one touchdown. Now, he should be receiving more playing time in Week 18 since Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown are not on the active roster. In Week 17, he was on the field for 64% of the offensive snaps. Expect that number to increase a bit against Carolina on Sunday.

Harrison Bryant (TE)- $2,600 Salary

If you are aiming for an extremely cheap tight end with a ton of upside, then Harrison Bryant is a fantastic option in Week 18. Despite being listed as the third-string tight end, he has recorded a touchdown in each of the last three games. Plus, starting tight end David Njoku has not practiced all week due to a shoulder injury so he is doubtful. If Njoku is officially ruled out, then expect Bryant to get a nice boost to his playing time on Sunday.
