World Bantamweight Title Fight And More! | Big Fight Weekend (Ep. 44)

A World Bantamweight Title fight in Southern California and one of the top Lightweight fighters in the world being in action in Las Vegas will headline things Saturday and on this edition of the Big Fight Weekend Podcast!

Jost TJ Rives is back with his guests to go over not only the news of the week, but the battles between unbeaten Frenchman, Nordine Oubaali (above) and former four division world champ, veteran Nonito Donaire. Plus, it’s Vegas main event at 135 lb. with unbeaten, Californian Devin Haney vs. another veteran, Jorge Linares.

TJ is joined by senior writer for BigFightWeekend.com, Marquis Johns, as the guys discuss the Undisputed Junior Welterweight Title win by Scotland’s Josh Taylor last Saturday night. Taylor out-fought Californian Jose Ramirez to earn a 12-round decision and all four belts at 140 lb. What should Taylor do next in terms of his title defense, including fighting possibly in his native Scotland in front of a huge partisan crowd or potentially moving up in weight?

Next, the guys are joined by Jake Donovan, senior writer for Boxingscene.com. Jake will be on hand for the Oubaali fight with Donaire that headlines the Premier Boxing Champions/Showtime card from the Dignity Health Sports Complex in Carson California. Jake has thoughts on what appeals to him about these Saturday fights that are coming up in SoCal? The guys also discuss the WBC Lightweight title fight between Haney and Linares, which will take place at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on the strip with fans present and to be streamed by the DAZN streaming service.

Then, TJ and Marquis go over the odds and why Marquis likes one of these two main event to end early with a knockout? Hear it all as part of the Big Fight Weekend podcast and make sure to subscribe/review us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google etc.!!
