Off a fantastic weekend of college hoops and the 2021 NCAA tournament, we’re back on the only digital radio show that devotes itself to Underdogs and we’re ready to make some more selections!
Host T.J. Rives is back with special guests to talk more about “March Madness.” This is, especially after an opening weekend that saw 15th seeded Oral Roberts, 14th seeded Abilene Christian and 13 seeds Ohio and North Texas all come away with victories in weekend number one.
First, T.J. welcomes Brian Edwards, senior handicapper of MajorWager.com and Vegas Insider, back aboard to go over what the Pac-12 did right in the Big Ten did wrong in the opening weekend of the tournament? Plus, Brian has a couple of Underdogs long plays out of the sweet 16 to make a run to win the tournament with tremendous odds in their favor.
Then, in the middle of the show, T.J. welcomes in his “YouTube round table” with Jonathan Grella of “JAG public affairs” and also, a Villanova grad, to talk about whether the recent two-time national champions actually have a chance to make a run once again in the 2021 tourney in Indianapolis?
T.J. is also joined on the video/audio segment by a Chicago sports radio reporter for over 40 years and new podcaster, George Ofman. George gives regional insight into what happened to Illinois Sunday and how Loyola-Chicago has now become the darling, once again, of this NCAA tournament?
George also has more about his outstanding storytelling podcast, “Tell me a story I Don’t Know” that has featured the likes of ESPN’s Mike Wilbon, legendary former NBC sportscaster, Bob Costas and ESPN’s Mike Greenberg already. And, soon his show will have the likes of Steve Stone, Marv Albert and Dave Wannstedt among others.
Then, Brian rejoins T.J. to go over the Sweet 16 games for Saturday and Sunday, including why he loves both Oregon State and Syracuse for Saturday’s games. T.J. makes a case for Oral Roberts, as a doggie and also, the Oregon Ducks on Sunday night, as the pooch, against Pac-12 rival USC.
Tons of NCAA tourney Talk and of course Underdog selections can be found on “3 Dog Thursday” and make sure to subscribe / review us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.!!
