DraftKings Monday Night Showdown Picks

Afternoon football on a Monday? No, you are not dreaming. Not only do we get another two game Monday slate, but game one begins at 5 pm ET. So, this week, we’ll give you two plays from each slate of the DraftKings Monday Night Football Showdown Picks. Two times the chances to cash? We’ll take that.

Kansas City at Buffalo

The fun starts when Patrick Mahomes squares off against another hot young arm in Josh Allen. Admit it, this game was not circled on your calendar on Week 1. But, it now features two 4-1 teams who are sitting atop their divisions. Allen has been impressive, finding ways to make the most of his weapons. On the other side, little needs to be said about the defending Super Bowl champs and their situation. This has the potential to be a highly fantasy friendly game with plenty of contributors. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s another way to make a little more cash today.

Arizona at Dallas

Shortly after we catch our breath, we get the regularly scheduled Monday Night game as the Cardinals meet the Cowboys. Dallas is taking the field with their new signal caller in Andy Dalton. This puts the fantasy value of everyone but Ezekiel Elliot influx. Do we see bad primetime Andy this week? One thing is for sure, he will have his hands full keeping up with Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. Arizona started out hot, but cooled down a little before their win against the Jets. Surprisingly, this game is set with an over/under of 55½, so there could be fantasy production to be had. The challenge as always will be to figure out where thy will come from.

As always, the players below are not meant to be considered a “core four.” These are simply players to consider as you are building your lineups. Play one, play them all, it is entirely up to you. Our job is to help you see the reasoning behind selecting these players and how they can help you win. We wish you luck on your DraftKings Monday Night Football Showdown Picks.

Monday Night Football Showdown Picks

Gabriel Davis – Captain $7,200; Flex $4,800 WR Buffalo Bills

Davis enjoyed a career day against the Titans last week, catching five of his nine targets for 58 yards. Allen leaned on his rookie to produce in the absence of John Brown and he came through. Davis made some impressive catches in what ended as a blowout loss to Tennessee. Should Brown miss tonight’s game again, Davis deserves serious consideration for Monday Night Football Showdown picks.

Stefon Diggs is obviously the man and Cole Beasley is his second in command. But, Allen is not afraid to look for another option when either of the two is not open. Again, with Brown’s status up in the air, Davis is the next man with upside.

T.J. Yeldon – Captain $3,600; Flex $2,400 RB Buffalo Bills

The running back position in Buffalo belongs to Devin Singletary to be sure. But, there has been room for other contributors this season. Zack Moss carried some of that load until his injury. Last week, Yeldon stepped in to spell his lead back on the field. He made the most of his situation, turning his eight touches into just over 14 points. He looked impressive on his seven carries accumulating 52 yards and caught one of his three targets for a 22 yard touchdown.

Keep an eye out for the word on Moss tonight. If he plays, Yeldon will likely take a small hit. Even in that situation, Yeldon could still be a great value play in a tournament. Kansas City is at the bottom of the league in defending the run, so it’s possible that more than one Bills running back will be worth rostering tonight. Maybe even all three. The game should not get out of hand, so Buffalo should still be able to utilize their backs through the night. Some exposure to Yeldon is wise.

Greg Zuerlein – Captain $6,300; Flex $4,200 K Dallas Cowboys

Points from the kicker might be the only points we see from Dallas tonight. As such, rostering Zuerlein might mean rostering the Cowboys highest point getter. Last week in the barn-burner against the Giants, he made all three of his field goal attempts and all of his four point after attempts for a tidy 14 points. You could stand to benefit from another effort like that at $4k. The uncertainty of what Dalton can do for the Cowboys has Greg the Leg looking like a solid flex play in several of your multi-entry lineups. You could even toss him in a cash lineup or two to free up some cash for the high dollar players.

Cedrick Wilson – Captain $3,600; Flex $2,400 WR Dallas Cowboys

While it’s true that Dalton hampers the upside of any Cowboys players, you at least need to roster one. Wilson offers tempting salary relief and the possibility of a dart throw with a decent ceiling. He hit the jackpot in week three with a two touchdown game and last week he even threw for a touchdown. Dallas is going to have to get creative with their offense against the Cardinals and getting Wilson more involved seems like a good way to get that done. Arizona will likely try to take away CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper leaving Dalton to look for his other outlets. This makes Wilson a sneaky play for Monday Night Football Showdown Picks.
