On the latest edition of the only digital radio show devoted exclusively to Underdogs (with the games resuming soon), host T.J. Rives is back for the final time in June to get caught up on the very latest with MLB returning, etc.
First, T.J. and Sr. Handicapper Brian Edwards of Vegas Insider and Majorwager.com are ready to go over not only the new baseball agreement, but also some intriguing future World Series winning proposition bets on some tasty long shot/underdog teams. Next, Brian goes over three potential Heisman Trophy candidates that have large future odds next to their names. Two are in the South, but one is a PAC 12 prospect. Finally, Brian has a couple of UFC fighter Underdogs for Saturday night’s Vegas card in MMA.
Next, some GREAT MLB resumption discussion happens with Craig Calcaterra of Hardball Talk on NBCSports.com. Craig is a national baseball writer and a lawyer and goes over the legal ramifications of what the owners didn’t get in their protected waiting game with the MLB Players Association. Also, T.J. and Craig discuss the 60 game schedule and some of the nuance rules like DH in both leagues and putting a runner on 2nd base to start an extra inning to speed up scoring/conclusion of games.
Finally, T.J. has a round table discussion on several subjects with Matt Zemek and Price Atkinson. Both guys have great insight on several sports. Matt is based in Phoenix and covers tennis, as well as college sports and some NBA, too. Price is in South Carolina has tremendous insight on college sports, but also the MLB agreement and the guys also talk the Bubba Wallace/NASCAR “noose or not” controversy from earlier this week.
