Madden Mayhem Friday Night: Madden Simulation Betting Odds, and Picks (May 21st)

Madden Mayhem Friday Night: Madden Simulation Betting Odds, and Picks (May 21st)

We are down to the final six teams in the inaugural Madden Mayhem tournament. Each night is becoming more and more exciting and tonight should be no different.

Tonight features two if not three potential cinderella teams. The Redskins and Colts weren’t projected to be here at all and the Cleveland Browns haven’t done much winning in the past 30 years. The Seahawks are used to winning and Russell Wilson is one of the most exciting players in all of Madden Mayhem. If those aren’t enough reasons to watch then I don’t know what to tell you.

Last night I got killed from a betting standpoint going winless but the good news is today’s a new day.

Madden Mayhem Friday Night: Madden Simulation Betting Odds, and Picks (May 21st)

Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Redskins

Line: Seahawks -9.5

Total: 49.5

Friday 5pm PST

Could it really be the Washington Redskins are the most complete team in Madden Mayhem? Well, they certainly have been up to this point thus earning the Skins a home playoff game against Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. The Redskins have done it by being turnover free on offense with 2nd year quarterback Dwayne Haskins and a nice connection with his receivers. Tight end Jeremy Sprinkle is Haskins favorite target but he also dishes the ball to wideouts Kelvin Harmon and Terry McLaurin often. The run game has really set up the pass game for the Redskins led by former LSU back Derrius Guice along with ageless vet Adrian Peterson and rookie Antonio Gibson.

The real story for the Redskins is on the defensive side of the ball though where they gave Dak Prescott fits last week. The Skins not only have a great front four including the previous two years first round draft picks in Montez Sweat and Chase Young. The Skins also spied on Prescott all game limiting his mobility and run game. The secondary played great as well led by safety Landon Collins and Kendall Fuller. The Skins will need to spy well again against the dual threat star that is Russell Wilson.

The Seahawks survived a early scare in week 1 at home against the Los Angeles Rams and won in overtime. Then last week the Seahawks went on the road and really handed it to the San Francisco 49ers in one of the most impressive performances in all of Madden Mayhem.

Russell Wilson is as good as it gets in Madden Mayhem. He’s got great accuracy and is a constant threat to run and stretch plays with his athleticism. Chris Carson and Rashad Penny really got the run game going in San Francisco and if that continues the Redskins will have a hard time winning. Wideouts DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Philip Dorsett have all contributed quite well in their 2-0 stretch. Look for Wilson to get TE Greg Olsen more involved with the offense.

Defensively the Seahawks were pretty elite last week limiting the Niners pass game and stuff their run game. The Seahawks are led by stellar linebackers Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright. The linebacker play could be the story of the game since the Redskins have ran the ball well and attacked the passing game by way of the tight end. Tre Flowers leads the way for the Seattle secondary who’s played pretty stout thus far in Madden Mayhem.

I have the Seahawks in the Super Bowl so I need them to win here but 9.5 is too many points for a Redskins team that hasn’t shown any weaknesses thus far. Give me the Skins plus the 9.5 and the under.

Madden Mayhem Friday Night: Madden Simulation Betting Odds, and Picks (May 21st)

Indianapolis Colts @ Cleveland Browns

Line: Browns -3

Total: 50.5

Friday 7pm PST

Shhhhh keep really quiet because no one is talking about the Indianapolis Colts. Perhaps it was the Washington Redskins or the Buffalo Bills but whatever the reason the Indianapolis Colts have been flying under the radar as perhaps the best team in Madden Mayhem. They took down the Tennessee Titans first and then ended Minshew Mania last week and now they are a live dog in Cleveland against a Browns team that is beatable.

The Colts have looked great on offense and that’s really been because the addition of veteran quarterback Philip Rivers and the Colts talented offensive line. Marlon Mack and Jonathan Taylor have played decent but the real story has been the Rivers passing the ball and the amazing protection the offensive line has provided for the veteran. Rookie wideout Michael Pittman Jr. and Ty Hilton have supplied the Colts with a great receiving core and detective Jack Doyle paired with Trey Burton have been a nasty tight end duo. The key to game is keeping all if this going and not turning the ball over.

Defensively the Colts have answered the call too. DeForest Buckner has been a huge problem for any offense they’ve faced. Even the veteran Justin Houston has played big for the Indy defense. In the secondary Malik Hooker and veteran Xavier Rhodes have came up big turnovers at the right time. They’ll be tester with Cleveland’s Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham.

The Browns have had quite the ride in Madden Mayhem after a great come from behind win at the Pittsburgh Steelers and a nice beating of in state rival the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Browns success has been the steady play of quarterback Baker Mayfield and a solid run game of Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb. The run game opens up the pass and Mayfield connected with Odell Beckham for over 100 yards last game.

Defensively the Browns have had a stout line with Myles Garrett and Oliver Vernon getting to the passer often. The Colts line is one of the best so the Browns defensive line is really going to need to make an impact to make Rivers feel uncomfortable. Defensive back wise the Browns has been as impressive as any team in the league with great performances by Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams. They’ll need to lockdown the Colts wideouts if they want to advance.

The Colts have been flawless thus far so why would I fade them? Yes, the Browns looked great last week but they were fortunate to beat the Steelers in the first game. Rivers is experienced and the Colts offensive line should be the difference maker. Give me the Colts and the over.
