Madden Simulation Saturday: Green Bay vs Kansas City Preview and Picks

Madden MAYhem Promo Game Preview And Picks Madden MAYhem 2020

If you’re looking for some exciting NFL action, then look no further. Our Madden MAYhem Tournament is upcoming (more info soon), and we will get a small preview of the action Saturday. The Packers will head to virtual Arrowhead Stadium to battle with the Chiefs Saturday.

One key thing you have to keep in mind when betting on this contest is that you’re betting on a video game. Madden gameplay is almost spot on from a physics standpoint, but the gameplan of teams aren’t exactly similar. The tight end versus linebacker matchup can easily decide a game.

You can even get some kick-ass action on this game over at MyBookie! They’re offering a sweet $20 risk free bet! If you place a $20 wager on the spread of this contest and it doesn’t win, then MyBookie will refund your $20 cash with a 1x rollover.

Madden MAYhem Promo Game Preview

Green Bay Packers vs. Kansas City Chiefs (-3)(O/U 52.5)

Green Bay’s game plan will appear very similar to 2018. Aaron Jones isn’t normally a big factor in games, and Aaron Rodgers is typically throwing the ball a ton. Something that may stick out to you about this squad is their less-than-spectacular defense, and Madden hit this right on the head. The Packers can be high scoring, but I’ve also seen sims where they look more realistic in the sense that their offense tends to stall on drives quite a lot.

Packers Keys To Victory

Aaron Rodgers – Aaron Rodgers has got to have an outstanding game. We know that Kansas City can light up a scoreboard, and you will see this much in Madden as well. Rodgers has got to avoid throwing an interception and he’s got to be sharp with his throws as well.

Defense – It’s not secret that Green Bay’s defense can be terrible, and they will have to step it up in a major way here. Stopping the Chiefs is no easy task, and the secondary of the Packers will have to be on their best game to keep “Showtime” Mahomes at bay.

The defending Super Bowl champions will feature an almost identical gameplan to their real life counterparts. Expect Kansas City to use the run from time to time. However they will go to the air at least 5/8 of the contest as well. Also somewhat realistic, the Chiefs tend to be real spotty on defense. They will have games where they are lights out and shut down, but then we will see them be torched as well.

Chiefs Keys To Victory

Gameplan – Kansas City has to do what Kansas City does. It’s pretty simple. If the Chiefs look to the passing game often, then they should see success. Green Bay’s secondary is very holey, and Patrick Mahomes could have a field day on them if he’s on the money.

Ball Security – I just touched on this slightly. Mahomes is the top rated quarterback on Madden. However he still has his share of off games. Mahomes has got to protect the ball and avoid turnovers. If he can do this, then

Pick – Kansas City -3

I am loving Kansas City to take care of business Saturday. Green Bay should see their fair share of points although I look for Patrick Mahomes to shred the inferior Packers secondary with ease. I wouldn’t even be too surprised if Green Bay gets blown out by the Chiefs. I can’t see the Packers winning this game, or even keeping it within a field goal for that matter. Load up on the Kansas City as I predict the Chiefs will cruise in this battle.

Pick – Over 52.5

I can’t say I’m quite as confident in this play as I am in Kansas City. However I could easily see this game playing to the over. Neither of these teams feature very solid secondaries, and both have good quarterbacks. Mix this with two teams who like to throw the ball, and you have a recipe for points. I like the Chiefs winning this contest 31-24, so I am playing the over.
