After recording a comeback victory in Super Bowl 54 on Sunday night the Kansas City Chiefs have opened atop the Super Bowl 55 odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Patrick Mahomes threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead the Chiefs to a 31-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54, claiming the game’s MVP award in the process. And with Mahomes just 24 years old he’s expected to give Kansas City plenty more chances at Super Bowl titles over the next decade. The Chiefs are listed as the +600 betting favorites on the early Super Bowl 55 futures at sports betting sites.

The Niners, meanwhile, led 20-10 heading into the fourth quarter on Sunday night but couldn’t hold on to that lead. San Francisco went 13-3 this past season, and sits tied with the Baltimore Ravens as the +800 second favorites on the Super Bowl 55 odds. The Ravens were upset by the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round of this year’s playoffs, but quarterback Lamar Jackson was awarded the league’s regular season MVP award.

Following those top three contenders on the early odds to win Super Bowl 55 are the New Orleans Saints at +1000 and the New England Patriots at +1100, both of whom have veteran quarterbacks with undecided futures. The Saints’ Drew Brees has yet to announce whether he will retire this offseason, while the Patriots’ Tom Brady could leave as a free agent. Having to start over at quarterback would shake up the betting futures for both of those teams.

The Los Angeles Chargers and the Green Bay Packers are both then at +1600 on those NFL odds, with the Dallas Cowboys at +1800 behind new head coach Mike McCarthy. Dallas disappointed with an 8-8 record this past season, which led to the firing of Jason Garrett.

Further down the NFL betting futures for next season, the Las Vegas Raiders are listed at +3500 after relocating from Oakland, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sit at +5000 with Super Bowl 55 set to be played at their home venue of Raymond James Stadium. The Washington Redskins enter the offseason as the longshots on the list back at +15000 odds.
