College Football Week 14 Daily Fantasy Picks: Best DraftKings, FanDuel Plays

Thanksgiving weekend gives us a full slate of college football a day earlier with some main action kicking off Friday afternoon. Check out my favorite plays to fill your Daily Fantasy college football rosters with this holiday weekend.

QUARTERBACK: Sam Ehlinger

$10,000 FanDuel; $8,200 DraftKings

Texas Tech @ Texas: Friday 12 PM EST (Texas -10; 63.5)

Texas Tech versus Texas should produce fireworks, especially in the passing game as the Longhorns love to air the ball out. They are fortunate enough to go up against a defense surrendering the second highest passing yards per game with 318.4, with this number substantially higher on the road at 378.6.

Texas comes in averaging the 13th most passing yards per game with 38.5, and average 330.6 at home. With Sam Ehlinger putting up big numbers this season – 3,114 passing yards, completing 64.8 percent of his passes and posting a 27:9 touchdown to interception ratio, look for one of his best games of the season at home versus Tech.

WIDE RECEIVER: Devin Duvernay

$9,400 FanDuel; $7,700 DraftKings

Texas Tech @ Texas: Friday 12 PM EST (Texas -10; 63.5)

Great spot to double down on the projected success of the Longhorns and Ehlinger and back his number one target. Duvernay has logged no less than six receptions in each game this year, and has eclipsed the 100 yard mark already six times. Duvernay is eighth overall in all of college football in total receiving yards with 1,095 and averages over 11.3 yards a reception.

Look for him to feast versus a Texas Tech defense vulnerable in the passing game giving up over 9.1 yards per passing attempt, and 14.7 per completion – 129th in the nation.

RUNNING BACK: George Holani

$8,700 FanDuel; $6,100 DraftKings

Boise State @ Colorado State: Friday 3:30 PM EST: (Boise State -13.5; 57.5)

Holani has quietly put up big numbers this year (as a freshman!) and is coming off his best rushing performance last week. On the road at Utah State he rushed for 178 yards on 16 carries and logged two touchdowns. This was the second time in back-to-back weeks he averaged over 10.4 yards a carry.

Expect big numbers once again out of Holani in a game where the Broncos are 13.5-point favorites going up against a Colorado State defense allowing 219.7 rushing yards a game and over 5.1 per attempt.

FLEX/RUNNING BACK: Zack Moss

$8,000 DraftKings

Colorado @ Utah: Saturday 7:30 PM EST (Utah -28.5; 49)

Utah are big 28.5-point favorites as they host Colorado. Expect a big effort and lots of attempts from Utah’s Zack Moss who put up 203 rushing yards on 26 carries last time out, and 32 yards in the receiving game. The 203 yard rushing game marked his seventh game this season rushing for 100 or more yards.

The Utes love to run the football ranking 20th in the nation in rushing attempts per game with 44.2. Although the Colorado rushing defense have been pretty good this season in terms of yards per game (ranking 55th with 149.2), they have given up a high 18 rushing touchdowns on the season.
