Alright fellow degens, we’re back for another week of trying to take down a GPP. This week brings us some difficulties that we have yet to have this year. The pricing is tight for the most part, so most of the consensus smash plays are expensive.
There are a ton of great mid-price options, but as of right now, there are no slap you in the face value plays. There are some plays, as I am writing this, which could open up the slate like Lazar, Henderson, etc.
I’ll keep updating on Twitter before lock. Roster construction can go in a lot of different ways. The projections I use are from Daily Roto. So, let’s get to it and figure out the one that’s going to win a GPP with Daily Fantasy NFL Pivot Picks for Week 6.
QBs
The Chalk: Jackson $6800, Allen $6500, Wilson $6600
The Pivot: Daniel Jones $6100
Mr. Jones is in an unbelievable spot. The Cardinals just gave up over 350 yards and 4 TDs to Matt Ryan. They allow the most fantasy points to opposing QBs at 28.1.
Jones is getting Barkley and Engram back, and Engram has the juiciest of juicy matchups. Jones also seems to have good chemistry with Golden “I’ll Bang Your Wife” Tate. He’s coming in sub 8% and should absolutely crush.
RBs
The Chalk: Fournette $7000, Cook $7800, Carson $6500
The Pivots:
Johnson $7800
DJ has been a low-key monster this year. With Arizona’s pace of play, the Giant’s defense being a dumpster fire, and with the projected total, DJ is going to get some work.
Johnson is averaging 5 catches a game and will have zero problem running on this defense this week. The matchup is much better for DJ than for Cook and you’re getting him at a 1/3 of the ownership.
Josh Jacobs $5000
This is the perfect example of recency bias, coming off a bye, so everyone forgets about him.
Jacobs gets top 5 snap shares for RBs, and he has actually started catching the ball in the last two weeks. He just went for over 100 yards against DA BEARS. Going against a bad Green Bay run D at this price, how isn’t he more than 5% owned?
Let’s take advantage of other peoples stupidity and get a low owned stud in a great matchup.
WRs
The Chalk: Hilton $5900, Kupp $7400, Julio $8000, Lockett $6600
The Pivots:
Fuller $6200
Following a dud game after his explosion, I wish Fuller’s price was more depressed but that’s why we can get him at sub 5%.
He had 9 targets last week and dropped 2 TDs. If he just used his hands, he would’ve had a blow up game. Couple that with the fact that Billy can’t figure out how to use D-Hop all of a sudden, it could be a great spot that’s low owned.
Tate $5200
Let’s get Danny a lower owned stack. Everyone is going to be on Jones/Engram, so let’s get Tate.
Tate and Jones had great chemistry against the best D in the league last week. Plus, they had a couple extra days of practice as well.
This AZ D is trash. Even getting Peterson back, the Giants should sacrifice Slayton to him. Peterson isn’t going to shadow Tate, so he’ll be killing them with death by a thousand paper cuts.
TEs
The Chalk: Engram $6500, Waller $4700
The Pivot: Henry $4000
In his first action back, Henry played less than 15 snaps and turned that into over 100 yards and two TDs. Rivers loves his TEs and with the WRs in a tougher matchup. I think the only thing that can stop him is the fact he’s made of glass and can get hurt at any moment. I’ll take that risk.
Defense
The Chalk: Buff $4300, SF $4100, Skins $1700
The Pivot: Colts $2000
After the Jets didn’t kill everyone who played them last week, people are paying all the way up or all the way down. I love the Colts D line vs Texans O Line. Tunsil has been improving, but they lost their RT this week. I expect them to get pressure early, and often, and that is the best predictor of defensive success.
