College Football DFS Picks for Week 3: Best DraftKings, FanDuel Plays (Saturday, September 14)

College Football DFS Picks for Week 3: Best DraftKings, FanDuel Plays

With Week 3 underway, here are my favorite DFS plays organized by when the games are scheduled.

WIDE RECEIVER: Easop Winston Jr.

$7,600 DraftKings; $8,600 FanDuel

Washington State @ Houston: Friday September 13th: 9:15 PM EST (Washington State -9.5; 73.5)

Houston really struggled defensively last season surrendering an average of 275.3 passing yards per game ranking them 123rd in the nation. Opponents were completing 21.7 attempts on average and connecting on 60.8 percent of their passes.

The Cougars led the league last year in passing attempts per game by a large margin 51 – to the next lowest 45.6. Look for Winston Jr. to be a popular target once again as he has already caught 11 passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns thus far. In what projects to be one of the highest scoring games of the whole weekend, although pricey Winston Jr. is a must include.

RUNNING BACK: Kylin Hill

$7,500 DraftKings; $9,100 FanDuel

Kansas State @ Mississippi State: Saturday September 14th: 12 PM EST (Mississippi State -7.5; 52)

Last season Kansas State ranked towards the middle in rushing yards per game, but surrendered a very high 5.0 rushing yards per attempt ranking them 97th.

Mississippi State are averaging 40.5 rushing attempts as a team with a bulk of the carries going to Kylin Hill. He is off to a fantastic start with 320 yards on 41 carries averaging 7.8 yards per attempt. He has found the end zone in each start thus far. Expect much of the same success Saturday afternoon.

RUNNING BACK: J.K. Dobbins

$7,500 DraftKings; $9,600 FanDuel

Ohio State @ Indiana: Saturday September 14th: 12 PM EST (Ohio State -17.5; 59.5)

The Hoosiers struggled defending the run towards the end of last year surrendering 246.7 rushing yards in their final three games while allowing 5.2 yards per attempt.

The Buckeyes are big favorites in this matchup. Expect to see a heavy dose of Dobbins who has already put forth two back-to-back 1,000 rushing seasons. Through two games Dobbins already has 3 touchdowns and a long rush of 60. Expect him to see the ball quite a bit, and expect similar numbers to his career average of 5.8 yards an attempt.

QUARTERBACK: Bryce Perkins

$7,300 DraftKings; $9,600 FanDuel

Florida State @ Virginia: Saturday September 14th: 7:30 PM EST (Virginia -7.5; 58.5)

Florida State have been terrible defensively giving up an average of 324 passing yards per game thus far in 2019. This is nothing new for a team that has had their fair share of struggles slowing down opposing quarterbacks. Last season they ranked 92nd in the nation in opponent passing yards per game.

For Virginia, Bryce Perkins is coming off a stellar year where he completed 64 percent of his passes and accumulated 2,680 passing yards. Expect Perkins to continue to build off his success and put up big numbers versus a very weak FSU defense.
