Believe it or not, the first three weeks of the Premier League Season have already come and gone. It is still early but there are some significant statistical patterns that are beginning to emerge. Hopefully, we can take advantage of these trends and cash out in all of our DFS contests this weekend!
There have been goal scorers who have emerged from nowhere, midfielders who have grown on their dominance from last season, and goalkeepers who have surprised us all. I have gone over all the numbers and trends from the first three weeks and come up with a group of players to put in your lineups this Saturday for DFS success.

Core Plays
Forward
Teemu Pukki NOR
Teemu Pukki is the best striker you’ve never heard of, or at least that’s what his performance in the first few weeks of the season would have you believe. The 29-year-old Finnish striker has been on an absolute tear to start the season. He has scored five goals in his first three games, including a hat trick against Newcastle United and a goal against one of the top defensive teams in the league Liverpool FC. This week he goes up against a West Ham United team that has one of the softest defenses in the league. West Ham has conceded the second most goals of any team in the Premier League, seven in two games. I expect Pukki to stay hot this Saturday and I will be sure to have him in all my lineups.

Midfield
James Maddison LEI
One former Norwich City Player is having an excellent start to his second season with Leicester City. James Maddison really came on strong at the end of last season with Leicester and this season he picked up right where he left off. Maddison has dominated the midfield for Leicester and has taken all but one of his team’s 26 free kicks/set pieces. This week he is facing a mediocre Bournemouth side that has given up the 2nd most points to midfielders, according to DraftKings. I expect Maddison to have a big day and get his first goal of the season on Saturday.
Defense
Oleksandr Zinchenko MCI
It looks like this is the season where Oleksandr Zinchenko finally became a week in week out starter for Manchester City. It is always great to have players from Manchester City in your lineup considering what a goal scoring machine they are. They are leading the Premier League with ten goals through the first three games. Although Zinchenko is unlikely to score, he has been consistently putting up good DFS numbers so far this season. He has been able to create chances in each of the first three matches and last week against Bournemouth he created a whopping FIVE chances. I expect him to be able to put up similar numbers on Saturday against Brighton.
Goalkeeper
Martin Dúbravka NEW
This week Martin Dúbravka is coming off one of the best performances of his entire career. After a terrible start to the season, Dúbravka and Newcastle went into Tottenham and got a 1-0 victory. Tottenham had scored five goals in their first two games, but Dúbravka made two great saves to keep a clean sheet and get the win. This week Martin Dúbravka is back home in Newcastle and facing Watford, the team with the LEAST prolific offense in the Premier League. Watford have only managed to score one goal in their first three games. I think the combination of a home crowd and a woeful Watford side should mean another great DFS performance from Dúbravka on Saturday.
