Game Of Throws: The Best Streaming QB Option For Week Three

Game Of Throws: The Best Streaming QB Option For Week Three

The Rules:

This is a win/loss format column with the goal of 250 yards passing + rushing and two touchdowns. Every time a quarterback selected finishes the NFL fantasy week in the top twelve or accumulates 250 yards passing/rushing and two touchdowns, it will be graded as a win. Anything short of that, you guessed it-a loss.

Using ESPN standard scoring / PPR leagues, the quarterback of the week must be 30% or less owned.

Week Two Game Of Throws Selection

Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Tampa Bay Bucs,  $6,000 Draft Kings, 30% owned in ESPN fantasy leagues

Everything in me tells me this won’t work out. Traditionally you want to buy low and sell high in the National Football League, but the matchup is just too good. Do I think Ryan Fitzpatrick is going to come crashing back down to earth at some point soon? you better believe it. While he’s both played great and been incredibly lucky-DeSean Jackson can’t possibly keep this up either-we just have to bank on the regression freight train not running us over this week. Pittsburgh allowed 197 yards and a touchdown through the air to Tyrod Taylor and allowed another 77 yards rushing from the Cleveland Quarterback. After that, everyone just saw the six touchdown performance on top of 326 yards by Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes may just be that good with far superior talent around him, but the magic should continue for at least one more week.
