Thursday Night Football Prop Bets – Five Ways to Get Paid
1. Ben Roethlisberger Over 265.5 Passing Yards (-110) & 2. Over 1.5 Pass TDs (-135)
This is the spot we’ve been waiting for. Sure Ben hasn’t gone over this total yet this season, but he has steadily been improving and now he gets to face the lowly Titans who roll a pass defense out there that resembles swiss cheese(24th Pass defense DVOA). As far as the TDs, this Titans defense has just given up 2 TDs to the quarterbacking studs that are Andy Dalton and Joe Flacco. This is the ultimate get right spot and perhaps the game that has the national media back on the Steelers to get back to the Super Bowl hype train. Take the over and enjoy the fire works.
3. Le’Veon Bell Over 87.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Sure Im double dipping here with 2 of the 3 B’s in the Steelers offense but this is simple. Bell will get volume needed to go over and if you just look at is depressed average due to the 1st 2 “preseason” games of 3.82 and you apply that to 25 carries what do you get ~96 yards. Take the over and run friends.
4. Demarco Murray Under 50.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
This bet has a lot to due with what I expect to be a game where the Titans fall behind and have to lean on the passing game. Factor in that Murray has only gone over this total 3 times this year and in all 3 of those occurrences he had 1 carry that accounted for ~25% of that total and you have a juice angle with out even mentioning Derek Henry or the Steelers D line(4th line yards).
5. Over 4.5 Sacks (+115)
Oh sacks prop, I cant quit you. The Steelers are 2nd only to the Sacksonville Jaguars averaging over 3 sacks per game. Again with the game flow expected Mariota will have to drop back more than normal. Then add in the fact that Big Ben loves to hold the ball for that extra second and I think this total comes in fairly easy as my projections for this game is 6-8 sacks. Plus arent sacks just fun to rout for!
Good luck and Let it Ride!!!
