Top 5 College Picks Week Five

I should note that each game is in order of strength to me. Meaning the Notre Dame Syracuse game is my biggest lock with Ole Miss coming in 2nd and the rest following. Its something new I’m trying this week just to be an asshole.

1. Notre Dame -10.5 vs Syracuse

The Fighting Irish have been a big let down this season and mega asshole coach Brian Kelly sure sounded off on his teams shit season after last weeks loss to Duke in South Bend. I’m betting the Irish respond big time in a neutral site game against the Orange.

2. Ole Miss -14.5 vs Memphis

Memphis, new coach and all already has the Tigers rolling but the question is who have they played? Sure you blew out Kansas & Bowling Green but Ole Miss is the best two loss team in the country plus, this is a revenge game from last year where the Tigers upset the Rebels in the music city. Gimme Ole Miss -14.5 I think they win by at least 20.

3. Florida State -10 vs UNC

The Seminoles had their bounce back win against South Florida (which i hit). Now its time to double up on them. UNC has a dangerous offense but Noles are home in Tallahassee where they really haven’t played anyone yet. (Charleston-Southern and 30 members of their 1AA team were suspended). The UNC defense couldn’t stop Georgia RB Nick Chubb in week 1 and now they get Dalvin Cook. I like the Noles on the easy cover.

4. South Alabama +19.5 vs San Diego State

The Jags beat Mississippi State in Starkville week 1. They laid an egg at home against Georgia Southern & Louisiana Lafayette. Then last week they barely beat 1AA Nichols State (who gave Georgia a game too. Why would I take the Jags? Simple San Diego State is the only ranked team they play all season and last year the Jags beat the Aztecs in SD. Not saying they will win straight up but 19.5 points? Gimme the Jags to cover.

5. Penn State -3 vs Minnesota

I would say this would be a must win game for coach Franklin. They lost the backyard brawl against Pitt. Escaped in a game vs Temple and got completely shit on in Ann Arbor. The Gophers are a solid football team and they’re undefeated. Penn State can’t afford a 2-3 start let alone a big 10 home opener loss. Gimme the Sandusky’s -3.
