Pittsburgh Steelers At Tennessee Titans Preview

Steelers-at-Titans
Monday Night Football this week takes us to good ole’ Tennessee, as the Titans host Big Ben and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tennessee come into this one sitting at 2-7, having lost their last three. Pittsburgh are sitting prettier at 6-4, although dropped a game last week to the lowly Jets.
Steelers Are Overrated
Pittsburgh this season, in my opinion, are an overrated team. They may have six in the win column, but let’s have a closer look at their losses. A 20 point loss at Baltimore in which they failed to score a touchdown, a home loss to the horrible Buccaneers, getting absolutely dominated by the Browns, and a loss against a Jets team that barely has a quarterback. In three of their four losses, the Steelers have failed to crack 100 yards rushing.
Tennessee are a bad football team. They’ve scored more than 20 points only once this season. Zach Mettenberger has taken the reigns and hasn’t exactly set the world on fire. They are quite possibly the most boring team in the league, and don’t have much of an identity this season.
Pittsburgh Has Shown Flashes Of Brilliance
Pittsburgh have been a much more interesting team this season. Whilst Big Ben throwing 12 touchdown passes in two weeks was overblown, it was certainly an exciting two weeks for Steelers fans. Putting up 94 points in two games against likely playoff teams back to back is an impressive feat, although more likely to be a good two week stretch than a sign that Pittsburgh are a dominant team, and with Roethlisberger throwing more picks then touchdowns last week it looks as though things have gone back to normal.
I think this will be an ugly game, not one im really looking forward to watching. Not expecting many points in this one, even though the trend suggest differently. In Pittsburgh’s last 15 games, the overs been hit 10 times. In their four losses this season though, the average total has only been 39 points. I feel this game goes the same way, i’m expecting a game similar to last week, with Pittsburgh struggling to put up points. I’m certainly tipping the upset here, with Tennessee rolling the Steelers in Tennessee. At time of writing the best numbers i’m seeing are Tennessee+7 and total at 46.5.
I’m rolling with Tennessee, and i’ll also be playing the under. And of course, i’ll also be putting some hard-earned on the Tennessee money line as well. Look for Tennessee to shut down the Steelers running game in this one, with Zach Mettenberger primed for his best start in his short career.
My Picks
Tennesse +7, UNDER 46.5, sprinkle TEN ML
Monday Night Prediction – Tennessee 23, Pittsburgh 17
