Old American Pastime
Sounds silly when you say it now, baseball feels like the furthest thing from being our countries sport. I would argue that the NBA and NFL has pushed baseball down to #3 on the list. With that said baseball to me will always remind me of summers as a kid. I can’t help it and I know that it’s a slow boring game but it’s also a game where you get to hang out outside, enjoy some beers, hot dogs and peanuts, what’s more American than that?
Baseball might not be as popular as it once was or perhaps the other sports are just more popular. There is one undeniable truth it does connects the dots between March Madness, NBA Playoffs and the NFL. After all where else would get your gambling fix besides America’s true pastime the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.
