Week Four SGPN Fantasy Football Rankings Update
Lamar Jackson – QB – Baltimore Ravens
SGPN Week 4 Ranking: QB4
Lamar Jackson is on an absolute run right now! His campaign has blasted off with 12 total touchdowns and just two interceptions through the first three weeks of the season. Jackson has flashed highlights with his legs and arms alike; he leads the league with ten passing touchdowns and is tied with Christian McCaffrey for the 5th best rushing total (243) through three weeks. Lamar also has the longest run of the year with a 75-yard carry.
Jackson and Ravens host the Buffalo Bills at home in Week 4. The Bills have challenged opposing quarterbacks this season. Matthew Stafford, Ryan Tannehill, and Tua Tagovailoa we’re all held to less than 250 passing yards, and the Bills have accumulated more interceptions than passing touchdowns allowed. Expect to see Lamar running more than usual this week; this should propel his fantasy value even more. This game should be one to remember; the Bills are coming off a tough loss, and Lamar is torching the box scores; it’s going to be fun!
Nick Chubb – RB – Cleveland Browns
SGPN Week 4 Ranking: RB1
Well, that didn’t take long; it took just three weeks for Nick Chubb to ascend to the very top of the SGPN RB Rankings. Our analysts have him as the #1 RB in standard and PPR Scoring. Chubb currently leads the NFL in total rushing yards (341) and is tied (4) with the lead for total rushing touchdowns with Detroit Lions Jamaal Williams. He’s coming off his second 100+ yard rushing performance, and he should get the same workload in week four that produces such a threshold.
The Browns take on the Atlanta Falcons, who have allowed at least 27 points a game through the first three weeks of the season. The Browns’ offense is completely focused on the run, and Nick Chubb owners are reaping the rewards from this approach. Chubb is averaging 20+ carries a game, and there’s no reason to expect that to change now.
Amon-Ra St. Brown – WR – Detroit Lions
SGPN Week 4 Ranking: WR10
Amon-Ra St. Brown is keeping pace with some of the best talents at the WR position to start the season. He’s tied with a handful of receivers for the 2nd most receiving touchdowns (3), 4th in total catches, and 9th in total receiving yards. He’s quickly climbed the rankings but for how long? St.Brown came up with an ankle injury in the second quarter of week 3, but he was able to return and play meaningful snaps.
The Lions’ offense offers a ton of positive game script from their poor defense, and Amon-Ra has clearly developed into a high-volume receiver. This is a player who catches 200 passes every practice; the work is showing! St.Brown is not practicing at this time, so be sure to come back over the weekend to catch the rankings update before Sunday. Our analysts will be sure to shift their numbers prior to kick-off when the final injury information arrives. It’s encouraging that he returned to play in week 3, and based on our analysts, it doesn’t appear that should be much to worry about.
Tyler Higbee – TE – Los Angeles Rams
SGPN Week 4 Ranking: TE8
Tyler Higbee has been an absolute savior at the tight end position. Whether you drafted Cole Kmet, Dalton Schultz, or Dawson Knox, Higbee has been a popular waiver wire target to save the day and prop up your tight end position. While Higbee is yet to catch a touchdown, he ranks 5th in total catches and 3rd in receiving yards against the TE position.
Higbee has been Matthew Stafford’s second favorite target after Cooper Kupp. He has a very safe floor at a very uncertain position. The San Francisco 49ers have allowed the fewest points to the TE position. However, our analysts are feeling the Stafford connection and have him ranked inside the top 10 at the TE position.
